Hi everyone, I am new to cruising, but not new to WDW and DL.

We're cruising on the Wonder starting Jan. 29th after 4 days in the parks :dance3:  :cool1: :woohoo: :yay: :dance3: I am so excited. Can you tell?

Anyone else booked for that 3 day event?
I have read just about every cruise report. We will be celebrating a big anniversary :love2: and this time the boys will stay home :crazy2:

Hi there!

We will be on this cruise as well - we are booked b2b for the 4 night then this 3 night

We are a family of 5 - me & DH & DD 10.5, DS7, DS4 - my DD turns 11 the day we disembark!

Congrats on your anniversary - how many years? :yay:

Hey samily :) so glad I'm not going to be alone on that big ship
How come you are taking 2 cruises instead of a 7 day outing?

This is our first cruise and I am super excited.
The only way I could get my, not so Disney crazed, husband to go was to suggest to him that it would be nice to vacation alone (leaving the 15 year old twins at home ;) ) and to celebrate our 30th anniversary. He loved that idea and so I booked before he could change his mind.

I am thinking that he's thinking that I won't expect that huge diamond. I don't know why he would think that:rotfl2:

We ended up with the b2b rather than a 7 night b/c it was 3500.00 cheaper for the category we wanted!! Also my SIL & her family wanted to do a short cruise for their first time, so they were going to book the 3 night. It turned out that she caught the bug and ended up booking the b2b as well!

It's funny, our first DCL cruise my DH wasn't a die hard Disney fan either - but we have now been on 5 DCL cruises so he has been converted!! :rotfl: It's actually the place he gets his best nights sleep and is also able to nap!

Congratulations on 30 years!!! You better start dropping some hints to him about that ring though...;)

Looks like we're going to have the ship to ourselves...

Wow, that's quite a savings.
Actually instead of that diamond, I am hoping that the DVC CMs corner Mike and hold him hostage (not too difficult on a boat ;) ) until he signs the papers for a membership

yes, we wanted to do the 7 night, but i couldn't justify that price difference. now i look at it as getting all my favorites twice - 2 sailaway parties, 2 castaway cay days, etc, etc. my sil is also trying to recruit other members of the family to join us at least on the 3 night so i am looking forward to it!

good luck with dvc - i keep telling my dh that we should have bought it years ago - it would easily have paid for itself! :rolleyes1

Hey now, I think you did the math wrong. You'll have 3 castaway cay days, won't you? :dance3: :yay: :woohoo: :thumbsup2

only if we get lucky :wizard: - normally the 4 night is one nassau day, one cc day & one day at sea. there are some 4 nights that do a double dip at cc, so no sea day, but they are usually scheduled in the summer months i think.

we had a nice surprise on our last cruise in January - at check in the cm says to us "i have some bad news for this cruise" :scared1: and I start thinking of all the things that could be wrong - we can't get the room we booked, we're coming back early, etc. - a million things went through my mind in that split second before she said "we'll be spending 2 days at cc instead of having a sea day" what a great thing to hear! that was actually the 2nd 4 night cruise that we unexpectedly ended up geing a 2nd day at cc - it happened a few years back due to weather - the first day on cc was rather windy & had rain showers in the afternoon, so they took us back the next day - which was perfect weather. :cool1:

how do your boys feel about you guys leaving them at home? we're planning a short trip for our anniversary in sept - the first without kids - my dd would be highly insulted if she knew we were considering doing dcl without her - haven't decided where we're going yet :rolleyes1

Nice surprise those "bad news" :)

I don't think I'd mind a day at sea. I am actually contemplating not leaving the ship on Nassau day. At least not all day. We'll see.

My boys are very wonderful travelers and they always humored me and my Disney addiction. But they opted out of any future Disney trips. They like going up to British Columbia or Alaska and go fishing. They are outdoorsey kinda people. I on the other hand would like nice feathered beds and I'd like to have the cabana boy bring me a drink.
The only thing that upsets them is that they have to go to school while we're gone, heehee.

You know, we were married for 14 years before we had those two and did Disney by ourselves. So much fun!! :rolleyes1

Hi Fellow Cruisers!

We will also be on this cruise. It will be me, my DH, and DD's 12 & 8. This is our 3rd Disney Cruise, and although it's months away....I can't wait!

Hey Googelibear, we were also on the 4-day cruise this past January that got two days at CC. We were so thrilled and the weather couldn't have been better. I say in 09 we should skip Nassau and just head to CC.

Welcome!

I was a little nervous at the beginning of that cruise as it was a little chilly in Orlando, but the weather turned out to be perfect once we left the port, and 2 days at CC - it was wonderful! :yay:

I think you have something there. We'll let the captain know what our plans are and go from there :rotfl:

Welcome to our ship :goodvibes

wow i'm so excited, apparently we're the only ones on this big ship - we should have no problems getting reservations for palo :rotfl:

Maybe we should give this cruise a "special" name, like so many others do. That may attract some more cruisers. On the other hand, I was worried about not getting into Palo :dance3:

:rotfl:

sounds good - any ideas? the 3 night musketeers? or mouseketeers? or ???

or maybe we should wait until we get our palo ressies... :rolleyes1

Woaw people, we've made it to page two, just between the 3 of us :thumbsup2

Ok, let's keep thinking. I like "the 3 night mouseketeers"............ a lot!
