Hi,

We are cursing on the 6th of July. We have an only child, 15 year old DS. We are all excited about the cruise but I don't want our DS to feel lonely. He is very active, plays sports for his high school and has many friends. We just can't afford to take one along so he'll have company. I know there are alot of things to do but everyone likes to do things with someone and not by yourself or all the time with old mom and dad. Plus Mon and Dad would like to have an evening or two alone without feeling guilty!

We booked our cruise using our DVC points. Any other DVC'er going? We are staying at the WLV over the 4th. Wouldn't mind sharing a Limo from WDW to Port. This will be our first cruise ever. So many questions and yet I don't know what to ask first.

Sorry, I won't be there on July 6, but thought I'd share some info. We went with friends on the 7-night cruise--four adults with one 17-year-old (the son of one of our friends). Chris thought he was too cool or too old to join in the teen activities the first couple of days. Then he met some friends and enjoyed every minute. His one question to his mom was, "Why didn't you make me go to the activities sooner?"

In case you don't find someone to share a ride to the port--we have had good luck renting a car at the Mariott near Downtown Disney Marketplace and then dropping it off at Port Canaveral. Avis has a drop off at the Radisson there. At this point, there is no charge for dropping off a rental in Florida at a different location than pick up. Of course, this is always subject to change. You might want to look into it.

Have a wonderful trip.

Are the activities something I need to reserve? What did your DS like the best?

Our family will be cruising on July 6th also. We have two teens, DS - 13, and DD - 18. Our kids are thinking along the same lines. "Is this going to be boring?"

I've downloaded the Navigator series for the Teens to show them the type of activities that will be going on. So far, they're excited. I'm glad to hear other teenagers are going on the July 6th cruise. I'm sure they will hook up the first day.

We also used DVC points (and cash) for the cruise.

We're staying at Hilton Head on July 4th and Radisson at the Port the night before.

See you there!
