How is the weather in Sept.? We are thinking about the Eastern cruise (7 night) on the 3rd of Sept. and are wondering if this is a good or bad idea. We are from the west coast and just went on the Mexico cruise, which was soo hot, but now won't to try another cruise with friends. Please help. To go or not to go? Also, how are the prices this time of year.

It will be very hot, and, of course, hurricane season. If you can accept the idea that you may not make it to any of the stated ports, then you might as well take advantage of the low fares!

Prices in September are GREAT. The low fares are due to less demand (kids in school) and its hurricane season. Personally, I don't care to sail during hurricane season, but there are many cruisers here who have with no problem.

Good luck!

We love going on a cruise in Sept ...there are pros and cons:

Pros:
1. prices are awesome
2. doesn't seem as crowded
3. air is cheaper
4. weather can be great (if a hurricane hasn't passed or is coming)

Cons:

1. HURRICANES
2. kids have to be taken out of school

We went on a 3 nt in Sept 03 and a hurricane had just passed....was planning on a 7 nt in Sept 04 and plans got really messed up b/c Hurricane Frances. We instead went March 05 and booked another one for

Sept 06!!

Seriously I think we are slightly crazy esp after what we went through...all I can say is if you go during hurricane season be prepared to possibly have the trip interrupted, cancelled, or changed. And most of all BUY travel insurance.

Good luck!

You may want to look at the other threads...someone posted just about this same question yesterday..or a couple days back...It's just a little below your thread...but it has quite a few responces. :goodvibes
