Looking to do a 7 day cruise (not sure eastern or western). I know some of these dates are during hurricane season. Which would be your preference and why?
Late September
Early October
Late October
Early November
Early December
Thanks for your help!

I vote for late October or early November. The chance of a hurricane are much less than late September or early October, but the ocean is still warm, especially at Castaway Cay. I think if you get into early December, the ocean temps will have already started to drop.

Well we typically cruise Sep/Oct or May, mostly due to better prices then. With your choices I'd go with late Sept to late Oct, whichever works best for you.

Scrappysquirrel, I vote for early December if you celebrate Christmas and enjoy the holidays. We find it is one of the cheapest options and the holiday touches are magical...also, it is basically outside of hurricane season. Now if you live in a warm-climate state, you may find temperatures at CC too cool but the rest of the ports are usually still warm...Good luck making a decision...it may be helpful to read some trip reports for different times of year to hear first-hand accounts of the temperature, weather, of course your mileage may vary

We like mid-October thru December. We have skipped Halloween and Thanksgiving cruise because of the cost. But we have spent the money for a Christmas cruise 2014 and would spend the money again if we could in the future. But we have always had good weather during that time frame. Water gets a little cooler at CC the longer you wait but once we start moving you/we acclimated pretty quickly.

We normally cruise in May and September for the same reason Shmoo said, that is off season a bit because kids are in school so the pricing is a bit better. We have also had a cruise in March (and we are doing one this year too) and December and we enjoyed those as well.

Good luck deciding.
