First time on the board, I've enjoyed reading up and soaking in all the information. Our family will be on the 1/25/05 Magic Western cruise. We have a 7 year old boy, 9 year old girl and are traveling with another family including a 13 year old girl. Looking for other friends their age. My son will be four months shy of his 8th birthday, and I don't know if DCL will let him join his sister in the Oceaneer Lab instead of the younger kids club??? Other questions:

1) What is a lanyard and where can I get them at home? (for kids KTTW card?)
2) Is the rainforest treatment in the spa worthwhile, I read somewhere 15 minute limit at a time?
3) We are either taking limo to port from Orlando or driving. a) Rental car agencies onsite at Port? What time can you actually get inside DCL terminal?

A lanyard is a thick necklace with a card holder (or a clip you can add the card onto). Walmart usually has them in their travel section for cheap

2) Is the rainforest treatment in the spa worthwhile, I read somewhere 15 minute limit at a time?

The rainforest room is open the same hours as the spa and you can buy single day or trip-long packages (or some variation inbetween). THe 15 minute thing may have been a suggested limit in the hot steam room (it is HOT in there) as you can use the rainforest as long as you like once you're signed up.

Avis and Budget have car rental locations nearby and offer shuttles to the terminal. We've arrived around 10 and had to wait to be admitted in, but were 1st and 2nd in line in our 2 trips so 10:15 - 10:30 is the usual time you can walk in.

epermar- Are you sure of your dates? We are sailing on the Western 7 day from 1/15/05-1/22/05. The next cuise the Magic does is an Eastern...Mark

Kids and Club: How can I find out who else is cruising w/kids on 1/29/05 Magic? My DD is 9, DS is 7. Can siblings be grouped together even if slightly different age groups? Are there any activities that are open for both the Oceaneers Club and Lab kids to participate in together? Interested in hearing what other kids my DD and DS's age liked the best.

Not wanting to spend a lot of extra $$$. Limiting excursions to glass bottom boat in Key West. I've read that in Cozumel, boat docks at Punta Langosta (downtown Cozumel?) Thinking of just looking through shops and eating authentic mexican--any recommendations?

Not sure if Grand Cayman will be on 1/29 itinerary. Any comments on beach excursion in Costa Maya (w/kids)?

I double checked DCL official website, papers from my travel agent, All Seasons, yes--1/29 is Western.

More questions to come.

Welcome aboard epemar. Go to to cruise meets side, look by the date, the thread was started by mariamard. You can get to know everyone who is going then also. We have 2-DD 5 & 2.

sorry epermar, you're first post confused me. You asked about the 1/25/05 not the 1/29/05 cruise...Mark
