Cruisin' in January

What is the weather like, sea conditions in January? Any experiences would be appreciated

We've done a total of 5 cruises in Jan and Feb...and a couple more WDW alone. 4 of the 5 cruises were great. One of the cruises and one of the WDW alone were cold. I found myself on CC covering up with towels to keep warm ...and I hadn't been near the water yet. At that point, I decided I was just being stupid and went back to the ship. It was in the low 60s...but it was about 20 at home.

One WDW alone trip, I spent a small fortune on warm clothing. Didn't realize that it got really cold in FL sometimes.

The other 4 cruises were warm, sunny, and wonderful. I guess you just can't depend on the weather at that time of year. However, I didn't mind missing a 21" snowfall back home!

Thats what I am banking on. We have not been cruising in January, BUT come this January you will find me with a several more from the Midwest and Northeast getting away from the snow. Anything will beat where we come from at that time of year.
