OK PEOPLE

we need to make this an actual board... I believe that around 50% of the posts have been "bumps" lol...

So let us start a conversation on everyone's favorite topic...

What do you think is correct? Abstinence or pre-marital sex?

Personally, I believe that it is all right to have pre-marital sex, as long as you understand the consequences for doing so. For instance, if you do decide to go through with it, everyone will know what you have done. Another thing is if the female side gets pregnant. What will you do? Have an abortion and go on with guilt in your life or will you have the kid and have a financial and physical burden for the rest of your life?

I'm trying to make this serious since most of the conversations between the teenagers on this board are more or less pointless, and I generally don't like pointlessness (except for on cruises... cuz... that's the whole point!)

I believe in abstinence. If you save it and share it for the first time with someone you truly love when you're married, then it makes it so much more special. If you do wait, then there wouldn't be any consequences.
(not that I'd know from experience, but someone listens in Health!)

I belive in abstinence. I think that if you have pre-martial sex then you are just risking getting pregnant or getting a STD. Also like Heddi said if you wait then it will be special and most times if something happens you know that the other person will not leave you. I know there are are exeptions though. If you don't do that then the other person could just leave you. There are no strings attached.

I'm still thinking pre-marital because it can be with someone special, and you can have it be a secure thing if you're not married. I mean, by the looks of things, you have around a 50% chance of not staying married anyways... And does it really need to be just one person? How bad would it be if you get married and your partner (for lack of a better word) sucks? You can't just say "ohh we're getting an annolment (sp) because you're worthless in bed."

It depends what kind of person you are. It can be a secure thing if you are carefull and don't just go out the a club and get it on with a random person.

Well I am definitely against one night stands, but by pre-marital sex I meant that you have known the person... For instance, if you spend 15 days straight with someone, you may know them more than you know a lot of your friends, simply because you spent more physical time with them, and I believe that it would be OK to have sex with that person. That being said, some pre-marital sex is more warranted than other pathetic one-night stands....

sry for the double post, but there are in fact consequences after marriage. Some married couples might not have enough money, or they may not be able to be parents, and be stuck in the same situation a teen couple would be in...
