If I fly into MCO and stay at a disney resort the night before the cruise and then again for a night or 2 after the cruise, would the transfers be included ( to and from the ship and MCO)?

Sort of. The price is added to the price of the cruise. That's $35.00 each way, per person from WDW resort to port; and port to WDW resort. Transportation is via DCL transportation.

In reality - no.

Transportation from MCO to WDW resorts is free on the Magical Express system.

If you stay at at WDW resort after arriving in MCO before your cruise, Magical Express transfer from the airport to the resort is free.

Transferring from the WDW resort to the cruise however, does cost 35$; same goes when the cruise is over and you want to return to the WDW resort from the port.

When you are done your stay at the resort, you can take the Magical Express transfer back to the airport for free.

Basically the free transfer service only runs between MCO and WDW resorts. Any other transfers between resort/airport/port for cruises does cost extra and is booked through DCL.
