Hello All,
Thought I would post a few pictures from the Never Ending Cruise.
For those of you that have never noticed here is a link to a satellite picture of Castaway Cay, you will notice that the dredged out channel is very narrow.

Here is a pic taken first thing in the morning, looks like a beautiful day:
Another pic showing how the wind picked up, believe me it was uncomfortably cold:
When we attempted to leave as scheduled on Friday the wind and waves were from a SE direction perpendicular to the ship blowing us directly towards the breakwater away from the pier.
Here are a few pics showing how far we drifted towards the rocks. Notice the amount of sand stirred up and the amount of water being pushed in an attempt to halt the ships movement. Ive heard the rumour that we actually dropped and dragged the anchor.
Overnight the cold front, with thunder storms blew through Castaway Cay with 50+knot winds you could actually feel the ship tilting. It is likely a very good thing the wind changed direction, now blowing us more towards the dock. The side thrusters were going full blast all night to hold us against the dock.
Overnight we broke mooring lines, two pictures here one of a couple of snapped lines, the other to show perspective.
-------
The third time was the charm! On Saturday after two unsuccessful attempts around 3pm we finally departed at 5pm. The Capt moved as far from the pier as possible before he started to back out past the breakwater.
Here is a shot of Wonder on the horizon.
ENJOY
