We are doing land/sea Dec 4-11th. How busy are the ships. I assume they always sail full? We can't wait! Wondering how full the club and lab will be. Are the pools are board heated? Thanks!

My birthday is Dec. 4th, so we've sailed in early December pretty often. I find the ships to be pretty full during this time of year. More so than in Sept./Oct. On our last December cruise, there were quite a few kids, but I couldn't speculate as to how full the club and lab were, as none of the kids were ours.

The pools are allegedly heated, but I find them pretty cold. One of the TV channels in the stateroom gives ship updates, among them are the pool temps. They're usually listed as 80-82 degrees, but I question that. I find the pools colder than the ocean at the Caribbean ports, even in December.

The kids clubs have sign ups for projects so everyone gets equal chance to do lots of stuff and not be too crowded. During free time the kids come and go all day. Our grandkids never complained once about being too crowded or not being able to do something because of the amount of kids there. They stayed until the clubs closed late at night and still didn't want to leave!!!
The pools are a little on the cool side for me, but the temp is usually in the 80's. They are in the direct sun so that helps. The hot tubs are really niice. Early morning and late evening they are pretty much empty, as most people are in the clubs. Have a magical cruise,

We went on the Wonder in early December in 2003. My daughter loved the Mickey pool and the water felt warm to me when I stuck my hand in - however it was breezy sitting on the deck but I wore shorts and t-shirts. However, when she got out of the pool wet - it felt cold to her with the breeze so I would immediately wrap a towel around her and go inside to dry off. It was actually pretty warm outside at CC and we laid out in the sun but the water felt cold. Some people went in and my daughter would go to about her knees and then come back on shore. Personally, it was too cold for me.
