Cruise reservation name and Passport

I'm trying to book a cruise online but when I try to add guest name it only allows middle initial and not full middle name. My passport includes my middle name. It states reservation name and ID must be identical. Anyone have any info on this?

Just use the middle initial.

Middle initial is fine. It means that my dad has to use Charles for his name not Chuck because his passport says Charles and my DH needs to remember to use Wesley not Wes because his passport says Wesley

My TA booked my reservation with my maiden last name, which is what was on my former passport. Now it is my hyphenated last name (married name), but our reservation still says my maiden name. Will I have trouble doing the Online Check-in if it hasn't been changed to the hyphenated last-name which is now on my passport?

Call your TA, explain the issue to them and have them call DCL on the TA line to get you the best answer and also to correct anything that needs correcting.

When I got married and hyphenated my name, I was able to get an addition pasted in the back of my current passport with my new name. If your passport still has years of life left on it, this would be the way to go. Although it takes a while. When is your cruise? Do you have a NEW passport with your hyphenated name? If so, then it's up to your TA to change your name.

For name changes on a Canadian passport, you need to reapply for a new passport. Yes, the new one is in the new name. I requested the change with my TA, but doesn't look like she has done it, because on DCL site (and app), still shows my old name. Is there any way for me to just change it myself??

Sorry - missed that you were Canadian. It takes a phone call to change or correct a name. Can't be done online. I would think since you used a travel agent, that they would be the ones who need to make the call. It's amazing how much you CAN do online these days - but DCL doesn't seem to be able to let us DIY.

I called and they put my full middle name in so that it will match with my passport.
