So I know there's been talk of prices falling for cruises, but I just noticed that the on we rebooked to - Fantasy March 13, 2021, has gone up in price. Not a lot, but up.

That's logical. That is spring break week in a large section of the South, and undoubtedly many people whose spring break cruises were abruptly cancelled this year have rescheduled for next year.

I don't expect DCL cruise prices to decrease for any of the itineraries already available. If they did, people would rebook at cheaper rates.

It is very unlikely (IMO) that DCL will drop rates. Many others have, but honestly DCL doesn't need to. Their ships will probably fill. Many have noticed an increase in prices because those that are being canceled are rebooking for later.

The one big thing I noticed is a lot of people also rebooking who had their cruises cancelled this year from the 4 night dream this year to the 7 night fantasy. The additional cruise credit offered makes the 7 night sailings more easily affordable for people who could previously not afford them. I had friends in a Verandah on the Dream for this year and now they are in an Oceanview on the Fantasy for 2021 on a 7 night. They may have paid a few hundred towards the new sailing but that's it.

Just something to keep in mind.

I think as people have to cancel this year, they will rebook next year, causing the pricing to rise as inventory decreases.
Absolutely agree, 100%. We have two cruises booked this year (August and Oct) and 1 booked for 2021 (August). Last week I booked one for March 2021, in anticipation of either or both of my 2020 cruises being cancelled. Prices will keep going up and I wanted to secure something in anticipation.

My question will be what is going to happen if they aren't sailing next March? I had to choose a sailing withing 15 months and that was the only one I could swing. If that's cancelled, will I get another 15 months for a booking or only a few months? And will I lose the 150% credit (and my placeholder) in favour of whatever the offer would be for that cruise?

I feel like if they aren’t sailing by next March, there are probably bigger issues.
How long can these cruise companies survive with no business? Most ships aren’t staying stationary so they are spending some money right now

Um, I think Disney knew full well that they were going to be canceling things for a few months, hence the very high prices for the summer 2021 itineraries. I was stalking 2021 Europe from opening day and it was $12K for an inside room in Greece. That is an insane price and looking back on it now, I think DCL purposely priced even higher than usual knowing that all the cancellations/deferrals from this year would have to have somewhere to go next year.

Yes that's we have done ! With the 125% credit we changed from a short cruise on the Dream to a 7 night on the Fantasy.

Can I ask which website you are using to track prices by category please? Thanks!
