Following a cruise on the Disney Wonder in Sept. we will be spending 4 days at DLR. We are not renting a car and are planning to stay at one of those hotels on Harbor Blvd., across the street from DLR. So does anyone have good suggestions on how to get from the cruise terminal to the DLR area?

Thanks

We had a driver from the airport to Disneyland and Disneyland to port. When we came back after the cruise we rented a car since we were needing to drive to lax for a flight. I would recommend a driver for a one way. You may be able to share the drive with a family from your Dis cruise group.

You have a few options:

1- take DCL transportation. This is $30 a person (one way), and leaves a little later in the morning (last month on our cruise the bus to DL left at 9:30ish). We did the express walk off (took our own luggage off) and wanted to get to the parks asap so we did not choose this option as we were on the road b7 8:20ish.

2- rent a car. I know there is an Enterprise at San Pedro but I believe that you would have to call for a shuttle to their location. Also, their one way drop off rates are insane. I don't think I would suggest this personally.

3- Super Shuttle/Karmel Shuttle, etc- any shuttle company:) Each company will have dif procedures as to what to do when you arrive. Most will have you call since the LA cruise arrival times can vary from early (7:30 docking/clearing to in the 10:00 hour (custom delays are frequent there). My quotes were around $90 for the 5 of us when I looked around.

4- taxi- this is what we did. It ran us $80 with tip to get to DL- there were 5 of us so it worked out pretty economical. There are taxis lined up outside the port. We did this for cost and also speed. We were at the hotel by 9:00 (left port at 8:20) and eating breakfast by 9:20.

5- car service (sedan/limo, etc). - this option would have them I would think waiting for you rather than calling for them (like a shuttle). I looked around briefly at this option but it was pricey (around $100 I think).

Hope that helps a bit!

My husband and I disembarked at Long Beach and got into a Super Shuttle that brought us directly to our Disneyland hotel. It was about $25 a piece though I would have saved $5 a piece had I made the reservation online in advance. It was SO easy, enjoy your vacation!! :cool1:

Just to help the OP avoid any confusion, the Disney Wonder does not dock in the Port of Long Beach. It docks in San Pedro at the Port of Los Angeles. If making a reservation with any company, this is an important difference.
