Cruise Itineraries

Can someone tell me if/how many 2012 Cruise Itineraries are blacked out to DVC Members.

The idea of using points to cruise sounds great, but i think I recall hearing that with the Dream and Fantasy coming online that many itineraries were going to be blacked out to Members.

Is it just Dream and Fantasy? Are they blocked entirely? Are there any dates I could book on one of the new ships in 2012?

My understanding is there is no availability at all for cruises on points for sail dates prior to Oct 2012.

Yep, I called MS to ask about a month ago, and was told that there were no cabins available on points for any DCL sailing until Oct. 2012.

It isn't that they are "blacked out," but already booked by members. From what I understand, there are a certain number of cabins that can be booked on points. Once those are all gone, it is full for points purposes. We booked in March 2011 for our May 2012 cruise.

The point charts for cruises may have dates omitted, I haven't checked each itinerary, but just like the villas, the popular dates are more points.

I thought it was only the Dream and Fantasy.

There was a post about 7-10 days ago from someone who was able to book one of the Mexican cruises on the Wonder using points.
