Hi Guys!
We just returned from our annual trip to WDW a couple of weeks ago and my family and I have been discussing doing a Disney Cruise next year. I have no cruise "experience" whatsoever so I was wondering what was the best way to go about it. Who should we book our trip through to save the most money?? Are there special deals I should wait for since our trip won't be until April 2004?? Any insight to this new adventure would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance!!!

I would definitely recommend going through Dreams Unlimited. The earlier you book the better--Disney has no problem filling ships--and any last minute discounts are usually for FL. residents. Plus DU will give you a better price than Disney will quote you and they continually watch for price decreases and give it to you automatically if it applies to your cruise! Plus they're so friendly, you get rebates depending on amt. of cruise, and don't forget a Bon Voyage gift in your stateroom (my parents got a tray w/ petit fours, choc. covered strawberries, and sparkling cider from DU in their room back in Feb.). Good luck--and you will not regret choosing DU or choosing to cruise w/ DCL.

To save the most, call cruise.com and compare the price with Costco also. The trip is a lot of fun. We all had a great time.

Book now! This way you will be assured Early Booking Savings... DCL Cruises almost ALWAYS go up in price, not down... (I would like to change our sailing date to one week after our current booking, they were the same price, but since we booked the prices have really increased.) And, as mentioned, if you do happen to see a price decrease (DU checks regularly.....) then you are free to take the cheaper price. You are not locked in until 60 days prior.

Booking now assures you the cabin, and dinner seating that you want... many desirable cabins - like the Secret Porthole rooms, the cat.6 cabins that are now priced as a cat.7, etc... might be booked up well in advance. (see castawayclub.com....) Some people have certain areas that they like... Deck5 for dropping off and picking up kids from clubs, farthest aft... etc...

DU is wonderful... Give them a try. Also, some have reported special prices on certain sailings thru another agency called All Seasons Travel, which gets good reviews... but I do not think you would find any special deals on the dates you mention, not this early anyhow? Specials and cheaper rates on DCL can be very very hard to find!

Above all, stick with this board, and you will not feel cruise 'inexperienced' for very long! Everything that I have learned here is just priceless! :D

Everything that I have learned here is just priceless!

Thank you, Wishing on a star. My insights here and elsewhere have been called many "less" things over the years, but never PRICEless...
