Cruise for cash only?

my dvc friend just called me and told me that you can only book the cruise with points and cash no cash only..is this true ? has anybody just booked for cash using no points? i told him you guys would let me know CAUSE YOU GUYS KNOW EVERYTHING!!TIA Marianne ps this is for the member cruise only on 2/2

It has always been Member Services policy to book cruises using points for at least one adult in the stateroom. The cash price can be used for remaining passengers in that room.

I called member services last week and asked if I could use only cash for the members only cruise and was told "yes". Unfortunately, we decided not to go because we would have to give up one of our vacations plus have to take too many days off.

On the DVC members only site it says:

If you are paying cash, please have a Visa or Master Card ready. Full payment is due at time of booking

This to me looks like you can do it all on cash, but I may be wrong.

I booked on CASH ONLY at 9:24 this morning with no problem.

We also booked cash only this morning, and we DID have to make the full payment at that time.
