We are about three weeks out from our cruise and have not received anything yet from DCL. How close to the trip do they send the documents?

Also, if you went through a TA check with them. Seems a lot of times DCL sends the stuff to the TA and it is on them to get it to you.

For our cruise in January, we didn't receive our documents till 9 days before the cruise.

Other than your luggage tags, which are replaceable once you arrive at the luggage drop off at the port, there really isn't anything in there that you have to have.

All documents can be printed from the DCL website where you checked in.

So, don't worry, if that is what you are doing.

My TA got ours over a month ahead and we're in Canada. Maybe it's just whatever order they happen to start printing them?

There have been shipping delays in recent months due to Disney (this is also WDW resort as well) using a 3rd party shipping company, I have tracked my Disney docs from Orlando FL, to New York, down to GA and back to Orlando (where I live) The DCL document center is about 10 miles from my house and I could get them much quicker if I were allowed to drive over and pick them up.

But I digress,
If you do not have them at 14 days out, contact them via the DCL phone number (and then option 2 I think) and and they will send you a booklet. That department is not open on weekends and have 9 to 5 type hours. .
If you have a TA, unless he/she specified to have the docs directly sent to you, then they will go to the TA 's agency first and then the TA will forward them on.
If you have a TA, you can ask them to request all future documents to be sent directly to you.
Have a great cruise!

We sail next week, we got our cruise documents last week. So about 2 weeks out.

When you do your online check in, there are a couple of signature pages that you print out - one to agree to the terms of the cruise contract and one to take financial responsibility for the charges to your cabin. Those are the documents being referred to. If you have those pages, the only other thing you will need are luggage tags - if you don't get them in advance, you can get them at any point you are able to turn over your luggage - when getting on DCL transfers if using them or at the port if making your way there on your own or via car service.

What would we print? And where do we find it on the website?

Did you do the online check in?

Technically, the documents will be provided to you at the check-in desk at the port, also. It just takes a little more time to get the process done if you don't come with the paperwork in hand.

As long as you have an necessary ID/Passport for your itinerary, you will have no trouble getting on the ship if you show up with nothing else.

Yes, we did online check-in the same day as we booked the trip. I will go back to the website and look for the stuff to print out.
So you don't need any paper work to enter the cruise terminal parking area? We will have a rental car.

No, I've never been asked. There have been people from time to time that said they did, but I'm sure it could be rectified there at the port.

Take your email confirmation of the cruise you are sailing, if you're worried.

In Miami they were checking the booklet and your ID. I guess in absence of the booklet they would have taken the contract.

And actually when I have checked into the DCL bus at MCO they have checked my booklet.

I have never used the transfers from MCO. We are going to try that for our cruise in December.

We were just at the Port of Miami in January for our cruise, but we drove. The first time we were asked for any documentation was entering the port terminal building. I didn't take my booklet, but I did show my signature page from the online check in. If I hadn't had that, I'm sure they would have some way to verify we were cruising that day.

At Port Canaveral one time, they had a list of cruisers names at the ground floor entrance to the terminal building. They asked for ID and checked our names against this list.

So, as long as you have the ID needed to travel, the rest of it can be resolved. They aren't going to turn you away at the port. It's just going to be more involved to get you onboard.

That's what I meant - entering the terminal building.
