For some reason we never received our cruise documents. I kept thinking they were going to come, but I called CRO yesterday and they said they were sent out awhile ago, so since we didn't get them, we could get them at the dock.

Is there any info I'm missing w/o the documents? I saw on a thread something about 80s night...is this info that would be in the documents? We are first time cruisers so I'm not aware of what to expect! We are simply packing for warm weather and CRO told us there was one formal night and one semi formal night. Is there any problem with picking up documents at the dock? I'm a little nervous about it! I wish they could resend them but we are leaving for WDW on 11/16.

Thanks for any help! :)

The only challenge I can see is that you won't have your forms (Bahamas immigration and a couple of others) filled out when you get to the terminal and that will take a little time but isn't bad.

We picked up our docs at the terminal and didn't have a problem. We stayed at the Hyatt the night before and checked with the DCL rep there the morning of our cruise to get our luggage tags.

The luggage tags would be the only other thing that could be a snag. I don't know from experience but I bet they have extra luggage tags at the terminal luggage checkin since that's what lets the room stewards know which bags go to which rooms.

Here's some pixie dust that they'll show up tomorrow.

I have never had this happen to me, but I have heard of it happening to people on this board.

Your documents don't give you any information to what activities are onboard. All your documents are is how you are paying for onboard spending, your imigrations forms, ect....

When you check in at the port...you will be given a Navigator. That has all your daily plans on it. Your hostess will leave one in your stateroom for the following day when he turns down your bed. So that way you can plan and adjust your activites.

Disney has everything very organized. You will see once checking in.

Yes...they have a semi-formal and a formal night. I'm having a brain freeze at the moment and not sure what nights they are.

Ok..i'm going to shut up now!! :teeth: Have a great cruise!!! We are on the one after yours!!

I think the 11/20 Magic cruise is a Western itinerary. If so, formal night will be on Monday and semi-formal on Thursday.

General rule of thumb that works for both itineraries is formal on first sea day and semi-formal on last sea day unless there's something special like Halloween going on.

One thing that they include with your documents is a little book titled "Passport to the Disney Magic." It lists what to pack or not pack, info about resort check-in, ground transfers, and onboard info for dining and entertainment. Most of the information is on the DCL website. One thing it lists is the ship phone number in case you need to be reached: 1-888-DC-AT-SEA. Hope this helps. Let me know it you have any specific questions about the above topics and I'll look in the book and type them out for you. Good luck!:sunny:

Thank you very much for the info!!!

I was feeling a little lost without the document and now feel much better! I will check out the website...almost done packing now :).

Ladyhawke,
I think the most important info in the cruise docs is that you must have either a birth certificate with embossed seal, or passport for each person. Also need a photo ID for adults. You cannot sail w/o one of these. A photocopy won't work.

I will see you at the sailaway meet!
