Cruise canceled... most relaxing place to stay

Our cruise in April is about to be canceled. Where would you recommend for the most relaxing experience. Two adults. Thanks

If you’re willing to go international, Aruba is wonderful. Beaches are stunning and it’s a breeze to snorkel from shore. There are lots of all inclusives if you prefer that route. Otherwise tons of hotels and great food options. Marriott’s Flamingo Beach is so much fun. Best part—no hurricanes!

at Disney? I like AKL for a relaxing experience. Not sure whats going on there these days though.

I think they are talking about going to WDW...
We are two adults as well.... Our two favorite resorts are AKL and Gran Destino Tower at CSR. They are both more adult centric and being that they are away from the other resorts. We Uber to all the parks and DS. I don't know how much is open at either resort unfortunately, but we have a res for GDT at CRS in April ourselves. We will see....

Jambo is a ghost town. You would have to haul around to eat unless you got a 1Br to cook for yourself.

How about Wilderness Lodge? Kind of an escape resort (like AKL), but still on Disney property and near MK and the monorail resorts.

If budget allows, the Four Seasons looks very relaxing to me, especially the pool area.

Like Tink said above-, Wilderness Lodge might be a nice option as well. It's likely our 3rd choice mainly because we are park people and spend more time at the other 3 parks.
We were at Universal in November, some perks there compared to Disney; you can take pictures with your mask off and if you stay at one of their Premier Hotels and get free Express Pass. (Universals Fast Pass line.)
If was our first trip to Universal and if all things were equal, we might not place it on WDW level, but considering so much of the Magic is gone at WDW currently, the mask-less pictures and Express Pass made up for a lot.
We stayed at Royal Pacific which was nice, but it was also one of two Premier Hotels open at the time. We ate at Narcoossee's, Boathouse and Sanaa on our trip as we found the food much more to our liking than most restaurants at City Walk.

Ooh, I hadn't thought of OKW. I haven't stayed there, but it does look so peaceful. Bigger balconies to relax on, too.

Relaxing to have DS on your doorstep for eating options.

I was, also, going to suggest a treehouse (a long time since I stayed in one, but loved it) at SSR. A very relaxing option (IMHO) as long as the OP doesn't mind being a bit further from the center of the resort.

At WDW - Hands down at GF for us. A beautiful resort if you never enter a park. Also on the monorail which provides access to other signature resorts for meals. And a short bus ride to Disney Springs that offers so much if you are not park goers. There is also a very nice spa onsite that we enjoy on non-park days. The workout facilities are not as nice as they were prior to the remodel a couple years ago but they are adequate. We also enjoy spa time at Saratoga Springs and Swan/Dolphin from time to time. (We have our first stay at WDW Riviera booked. I have a feeling this resort may rival GF for us. I can confirm all places mentioned here are very nice with many things to do in the area or just relax.)
For a non-Disney trip:
Nemacolin in PA. near Frank Lloyd Wright's Falling Waters.
Grove Park Inn in NC. near Biltmore and the Biltmore winery.
Keswick in W. VA. Running of the hounds and hot air ballooning plus.
The Bourbon Trail in KY. (I can not remember where we stayed in Louisville but it was beautiful.)
Milliken Inn near Sonoma and Napa.
Gaylord Hotel in Nashville, TN. You never have to leave. This is a huge climate controlled complex with many restaurants.
Gervasi in Akron, OH is an amazing getaway.
We also enjoy American Cruise Lines small ship cruising. I do not know their "Covid status."
The Columbia and Snake River cruise is amazing with historians Todd and Nadine Weber.
The Alaska inside passage is also great with Todd and Nadine.
The San Juan Islands was also nice but different as there was no historian narrative. Friday Harbor was great as was Butchart Gardens.

Blondie I also appreciate the list of other places. We just started doing trips sans kids (technically our kids are adults at this point) so I love the ideas.

We too have young adults. Two working after undergrad and two in grad school. (They are paying.) Once we had undergrad paid for we began to do quite a bit of traveling. Lots to get done before their marriages (one engaged right now) and future grandchildren. We are having fun on our adventures. Much fun and best wishes as you start your couple adventures.

Beach Club is one of my favorite locations. If you're not doing parks, then the pool at Beach Club is a great place to spend time and you're easy walking or Skyliner distance to many dining options. The Disney Springs area resorts (OKW and SSR) are a good suggestion too, just for proximity to Disney Springs. We visited DS more than ever on our October trip since the parks closed so early. OKW and SSR are large and spaced out, but that might make them feel more peaceful and less crowded as well.

If you decide to go the Universal route, you can't go wrong with Portofino Bay, Hard Rock, or Royal Pacific. We love all three. Portofino is probably the most adult oriented that could also be described as relaxing. Hard Rock is adult oriented too, but more of a lively atmosphere. All 3 of these resorts have easy walks to City Walk and include express pass if you plan to visit Universal parks. If you're not doing parks, I would also consider Sapphire Falls. Easy boat ride to City Walk, but no EPs.

My favorite is the Yacht Club. I love the location and it‘s a beautiful, relaxing resort.

Just stayed at Gran Destino and The Swan. Both were quiet, upscale, and relaxing. The Swan has a perfect location and lots of amenities adults can enjoy. Gran Destino is very new, sleek, and upscale feeling, with lots of room to hang out and relax. Enjoy your trip!

On Disney Property either Beachclub Villas or Animal Kingdom lodge.... we don't even go to the parks when staying at these 2... My wife loves just sitting on the balcony watching the animals. Away from Disney Aruba would be our first choice.... We just go back from there over Christmas...love it
