Eric - By "flowing" I meant for the words to "flow" in that I don't have to think so much about how to say what I want to say. German just doesn't sound right coming from me! But there is a German phrase stuck in my mind that I think means one thing but might turn out to mean another. When I meet you I'll see if you can translate my "garble."
About accents - I always love to hear "foreigners" (not American or British) speaking English with the accent of their own country. If they lose that and start sounding like an American (which could be any of <I>many</I> accents), it just isn't as appealing to me. I don't know why.
