How many do you think we need. We were going to start by doing about 30. Is that too many or not enough?

I have an electric laminator machine if you would like to borrow it. It can do about up to 5-6 inch wide laminations. If you are interested let me know and I can ship it to you.

No documents here yet although on Friday we did get the booklet from DCL about the excursions. Disappointing really as we've already booked our excursions and I got so excited seeing the DCL envelope. Oh well hopefully soon. We've booked with Dreams so I guess we still have a bit to wait.

Spent the weekend cleaning and laundry -- not fun. Also have to finish doing the outside work as we won't get back home til the 26th of Oct and we could (yuck) have snow by then. Occassionally we do get flurries that early but hopefully not this year.

Reading about the problems with the logos scares me -- am going to attempt them this weekend. Couldn't find yellow t-shirts so we have gold. My niece's birthday party is on Sunday and since my DB and SIL have a colour printer thought I'd try to print them out there -- they don't know this yet though.

I have 17.5 more days of work (am working only 1/2 day on October 8th as we hope to leave that afternoon).

Back to work. Have started to clean everything up that's been hanging around for a while so it doesn't come up while I'm gone. Also this way I won't have to work late the week that we are leaving.

Nancy -- I collect Dickens Village too! I didn't realize that there was a Halloween version although maybe I shouldn't!!! Chris and his friends arrange everything on the top of the piano every year for Christmas -- we have a lot and I haven't purchased anything in the last few years. It's a grand piano that was my Grandma's so it has lots of space and they do a really good job.

Fionna--- I think that the Department 56 Halloween village has been out about a year and they just had only 1 or 2 houses last year. They are listed as Snow Village but there is an entire collection of houses and accessories that came out. There must be 7 Halloween houses available. What I have done in the past was put out some of my Dickens Village houses and the fall trees and pumpkins to make it look fall in appearance. These new houses are just so cute, most of them do something like flashing lights, noises, bats flying around that I was purchasing one of them, but with the promotion ended up with the second. And to think I went to the gift shop to purchase a Yankee MacIntosh candle that was 25% off. I should have known better. I also have been avoiding buy any more Dickens village houses. I think last year was the first year, I bought a house in a long time. I get them out around Thanksgiving and then put away in March. I have them upstairs and downstairs. On the dry sink, hutch, top of cedar chest, by the fireplace, on an old chest, and then some of the coffee tables. I figured that the Halloween ones will be my fall decoration and then can put away easily since I only have 2.

How is Jim doing? Isn't his Doctor appointment tomorrow?

Wow, I missed a lot in a few days. I was out with a migraine since Friday, and Sunday when I was feeling better we took our dog "Hopkins" to a National Park for some hiking. We had a grand time!

Got sent home from work today... after all the stuff I've been exposed to as a nurse, what do I get sick with? Shingles. Can you believe it??? I have the chicken pox! Again!!!!! Thankfully we caught it early, but it's pretty miserable now. And my doc isn't painting a pretty picture for the next few days of how I'll feel..

25 days to the cruise.. maybe I'll catch a break.....

I can't take all the credit!! Mom took the logos to work and copied them. Now, I will do the rest.

Does everyone realize we only have

3 more Mondays

I think I found a sub to come in for me on the 9th so I won't have to work until lunch that day. I am hoping we can be on the road by noon. We will be driving the 600 miles straight through. We have ressies for Thursday night in Orlando.

I just don't know if I can get more excited than I am. I think about the cruise all the time! What will it be like when we get home and don't have anything to look forward too! I would like to try and book while on board, but I really doubt I will be able to talk DH into it!! Believe me I will be trying.

but I am not really worried. They have come quite late on prior curises too. We have always booked through Dreams and they seem to get a lot of free upgrades too, so I guess late can be worth the wait.
