Arlene -- I feel your pain about work. I'm hoping it just flys by and I was so thankful when the day ended today. I usually like my job but the last month has just been awful. Yesterday got yelled at by the corporate lawyer -- the only problem is that yup I made a mistake but did he have to tell me 10 times??? I got it the first time. The real kicker is that I only took the client's phone call because he wasn't around. Not doing that again. He's now not really talking to me which is a good thing although he's in the office next door. I'm really hoping that next week will be better although I know that he's going to start bugging about billings. It's not even December and already I'm stressed about "cash in". We don't have to have a set number of billable hours our targets are all money oriented. A real drag. Ok I'm now obsessing and it's the weekend and one day closer to the cruise.

Oct 8th can't come sooner enough.

Yes it did rain last year, but the race was only delayed for about 2 hours. Then the rain stopped and we had a beautiful day. No rain in the forcast this year.

I can volunteer to be a host/hostess at the Palo Brunch for our table if that works out. We should arrive at the Radisson around 4:30 pm on Friday and are planning on getting to the port around 10:30 am the next morning either by available shuttle or taxi as we want to make sure we get spa reservations on sea days and a couple of other Palo reservations. We have 4 people that can split up to make reservations. If this helps let me know.

Has anyone rented a car from Budget before or have any suggestions??? We are picking up a car after the cruise and had
Avis booked but Budget is much less expensive on the size we need and is now closer to the port than Avis. I think Budget is in the terminal so we don't have to do another shuttle when we drop the car on Sunday.

Just wondering, how many of this group would be going to the Castaway Club Reception or DVC Reception on the ship? (If they still do these?) It will be great to see some familiar faces at those!!!

It is beautiful here in Minnesota but dry. I am stressed with work but my mind wants to wander with visions of the cruise. My office is set up in one part of our home so I never get away from
work. It is the busiest time of year for us next week as we work in new home construction waste management and it is booming here in Minnesota. We are having a commercial shot at our home next week and now we are told we have to turn off all phones while they do the video portion. Not good. On top of that we are having a mulit-family garage sale at our house on 09/13. (money for the cruise/spa).

There should be quite a few of us Castaway Cay club members. Wonder if the gift is still the beach towels?

Thanks for the warm welcome everybody, that was sure nice.

Two quick questions sprouted up -- Why do the the documents turn up via UPS? Is this a package of some sort? If so, I'm dying to ask what it contains, and also want to just wait and see (I'm more of a wait and be surprised kinda guy).

Second -- Regarding the rental cars - I know a couple of the agencies have shuttles that go TO the port - but I'm assuming they'll also take you FROM the port back to the rental car place if you desire?

We're spending the night before and the night after at CBR, as well as visiting with some of my family that lives there. I was thinking a rental car is definitely the way to go since it comes out somewhat more economical -- provided there IS a way to get back there from port.

Oh boy - six weeks from tonight!

Can't help ya with the rental car question, but the documents are kind of a small package. It contains your documents for the cruise in a travel agency type booklet. You also have the booklets describing the ship and facilities and the cruise itself. Then there's the buy me booklet (packages that can be delivered to the room) and a few more odds and ends. It all comes in a handy carry case.

Sorry if there are spelling errors, we just came back from Kahunaville, if any of you have one near you, it's a must do. The one here in Tampa is a blast!

HEY TONY!!!! Welcome to Cruisetoberfest II from Long Island, NY!!

Boardwalk4me and Tony - Don't know much about the car rental shuttles but have rented Budget in Florida (and recent Omaha trip) with no problems at all. In Florida, they are right at airport and dropoff was a breeze.

JenKat - Sole holder of Cruise Docs - you just made me realize that I have NEVER had a margarita.. it just always seemed a little weird to me to have a drink with salt. I think, however, I will have to change that for the Key West visit. !!

Nancy - PADisneyFan - Thanks for missing me. Alive and well and busy.

Arlene - Whaddya think, should we try for another mini-meet and meet up with TonyG and the two other couples? Time is a factor, however, would have to check calendars....

Gosh, we are getting excited and broke getting suited up right, we hope. Documents aren't here yet but waiting with hopelea and family. Time has flown. Will try to catch the international next saturday sometime. So looking forward to meeting all you guys. What are the 2 meeting (maybe reunions) that some of you are talking about, can new people get in them too?
