You are not kidding!!! We got dumped on today. We don't really live in a flood zone, necessarily, but our back yard seems to be the lowest point in our little group of houses, and the drainage isn't the greatest. So, it was a tense moment earlier, when the pool started to fill up and the water level next to the house started rising. But, thank goodness, we avoided a flood into the house, after several trips out in the rain. By the time I was done, my clothes were soaked. And of course, conveniently, Chris was at his mom's doing work on her house, so I had to deal with it all.

We sure did have a good time there.

We are so looking forward to the cruise and I agree with Mike and others who have expressed the words, "This is going to be the best cruise ever." How can it not be? Well, weather for one thing. I just hope the weather forcasters are wrong. I really want to get to Key West this time. I want to see that guy with the cats this time. You remember...the cat juggler? Also I want to be in the group who wins "Pinkie" and watch Eric's face when we win him.

we r now going to the world on AUG .29 threw sept. 1
labor day weekend

Talking about the weather: The good weather in Germany will prevail until 09/20 and the bad weather in Florida will stop 09/20

We must chat again soon - I guess we will be able to do it on 08/23. I had to be at the office this Saturday and even took home work on Sunday to help out in my "old" department. Although they got a substitute for me 08/04, this girl still is an apprentice and I was a senior. So I promised them that whenever there are problems I would help out. And anyway: The well-paid ovetime will pay for extra-shopping in Florida Anja has been very reluctant buying anything lately - I suspect she's saving her shopping powers for the four weeks of vacation Unfortunately she just learned that our German cash-cards now even work in the USA enabling us to empty every ATM we see

Thanks to all of you who responded to my Palos List questions. I believe we have more then enough hosts for our group of 46. Thany you to all the volunteers! Right now we are looking at 8 table, with each having 5-6 diners at each. I would perfer tables of 8, but last year the Palos people didn't want to do more then 1 group of 8 per seating. Anyway, still working on it. If you haven't sent me the info, please do so this week sometime. I need last name and stateroom number. If you didn't list your stateroom number on the main, I understand, and will keep this info confidential.
Goodness, less then 9 weeks to go. If the cruise was Chistmas we would be in the first week of Nov. Only 63 days of shopping!

The Minnesota group met on Saturday and had a great time! It was great to meet everyone. The kids made new friends and I think i can safetly say everyone's excitement level is up a couple of notches.
