we booked crt for 4th of july for 7 of us now there will only be 6 of us. What should i do. I dont want to lose our reservation. Will they charge us for the person who does not come.

I don't know for sure if they would charge you or not. I would call and have them change it for you. I would imagine that it would be easier to take people off a reservation then trying to add to it. Then you wouldn't have to worry about possibly being charged for the extra person.

Now this was about 7 years ago, it was on our first trip to Disney & my son got sick (very sick, where we had to go to Urgent Care). Of course that morning we had ADRs at the CRT. I called Disney Dining and said 3 of us would not make it, 2 others in our party were still coming.
They still had to charge us $10 for each person not showing up.
Now this was when CRT was VERY, VERY hard to get in too. I know it is easier to get into now so maybe it was changed.
Just wanted to tell you our experience.

You could call Disney Dining now and see what they can do? It won't hurt.

i agree with the PP you should have no problem changing your ADR to 6 ppl. Going down in size is never a problem, only adding ppl is because they may not have a larger table available.

^^^ Did the policy for CRT change? I was under the impression that you had to pay for the reservation ahead of time. They no longer do this, or are you on the dining plan?

Edit: Ohhh. I see you are on the DP, I do not use them so I do not know how that will work...

i called they wanted me to cancel my current reservation and try to remake it with the 6 instead of 7. I did not want to chance losing it. They said I will be charged in full for the 7th person if they do not show up. I dont know what we are going to do.

Just to confirm (and not talking about DDP credits, but cash because that's all I know about) - prepaid in full reservations charge you for the whole meal for the no-shows. Places that just take a credit card as a hold only charge you a smaller amount for no-shows (around $10-20). Places that don't require a credit card won't charge anything.

i called to make a different reservation an decided to double check the info i received from other cm and glad i did. She was able to modify it at no cost. She changed the 7 to 6 same confirmation number and no charge for the person who cant come so feel much better
