I just wanted to let you know that on Sunday while entering the MK... the employees were outside the Castle for CRT asking does anyone want to eat at CRT.. they have openings... WOW...

while they may be booking up reservations, I think what's really happening is that many of those reservations are getting cancelled by people who have also cancelled there vacations. In May, we saw people getting walk-ups at every restaurant we went to, including CRT on Friday evening, Cali Grille on Saturday (of Memorial Weekend, even) and Le Cellier on Thursday actually had several empty tables the entire time we were there (like from 5:15 until when we left around 6:30.) When I booked these in February 2008, they supposedly were among the last available times for those nights.

I think it also is reflective of the price. I would love to dine in the castle again. But I don't have kids, not interested in a picture package nor characters at dinner. Not willing to pay the price.

Would love to see dinner (at least) go back to no character and no package. Then we would love to eat in the castle.

I first heard of this happening at CRT about a month ago (in another post) - I admit its very strange!

I also agree (as 1/2 of a married, child-less couple) that I could do without the picture package and characters at dinner! I have zero interest in these things, and feel that they detract from my experience. Isn't 2 character meals a day enough?

10 years ago, I don't remember there being this many character meals! Now I feel like just about every place offers one! I could be wrong, and 10 years ago I was a kid so its entirely possible that its just changed tastes.
