I was playing around with the online reservation system the other day and was messing around just seeing if somehow I could get CRT before MK opened. AND I DID! So I just booked it as a suprise for my girlfriend since its her first trip to Disneyworld. Is it worth it? Ive seen a lot of negative reviews in the WDW guide books and started having 2nd thoughts

That is the link for reviews of CRT. We booked it for our next trip as well & we're looking forward to experiencing it for ourselves. Free dining helps, too!

Have a wonderful trip!

I think if you've never done it before then its something you should try. We've been there a few times for both breakfast and dinner. Our results have been 50/50.

Since this is her 1st trip, then yes, I'd eat b/fast at the Castle. It's very expensive, but "magical". As we've eaten there 2x, we now eat elsewhere.

It's definitely worth doing at least once. We've gone for both breakfast and lunch and both were good. Because of the cost we don't do it every time, but my DD6 and DD4 really enjoy it.

I would highly recommend doing it! :thumbsup2

I guess I'm going to be the voice of dissent here. I would whole-heartedly say "yes" if you had young girls ... but going as just a couple on your first trip? Hmmmm .... maybe not. I did go to character meals before I had my DD and I went to CRT, but I went when it was less that half the current price. I guess if your GF is a princess-y girly-girl type than she would like it. If not, then I would save my money and maybe choose a cheaper character meal. You have have enough to WOW her with on her first trip.

It's worth doing at least once, no matter what your age. ;)

We did lunch there (couldn't get breakfast) and the food was decent. The atmosphere was great though.

Have fun!:thumbsup2

Agree, go at least once. Esp for a first timer.
However you may also want to give the Grand View Tea at GF a try. (Does not accept DDP credits, but does allow a TiW discount.)
