CRT-Worth it or not??

We decided to do CRT. For me it will be the experience of eating in the castle. I know ds is going to lose her mind :rotfl: that is what's going to make it worth it for me.

43 per adult
27 for 4yr old daughter

I booked it...but is it worth it? :confused3

What did you book, B, L, D? For me breakfast is the best meal. I really don't care for L or D. DH however doesn't really care for any of them. Don't get me wrong the food isn't horrible it tastes good. Just not what I would order if we went out for dinner. It's a small selection. That being said we do it every year. It's our DD's MUST. Is it worth it yes and no. Yes for the look on your DD face when she can say she ate in Cindy's castle and met all the Princesses. No it's expensive and not all that great food wise. But for us it brings our DD so much joy. We had a custom cake delivered there one year and Jasmine helped our DD cut the cake and pass it out to others. For us the memories are all worth the $. I'd rather spend the $ on memories that will last a life time than a silly toy that will sit in the closet and get thrown away in 6 months. But then this is just my 2 cents.

I loved Breakfast at CRT. Our party was two 50 yr olds and two 20 yr olds and the princesses spent lots of time with us and the food was great. We went for breakfast not dinner like it looks like you are. Breakfast came with yummy croissants and muffins, fruit, bacon, sausage, eggs, puffed blueberry french toast and the most amazing potato casserole. I found this food more approachable than their other menus :) Plus if you score an early ADR you get into the park before everyone else and can get some excellent photos infront of the castle.

As far as dinner I don't know if its worth it... but we found it worth it for breakfast:)

We do CRT every year for dinner. the food is about average, depending on what you decide to order (i can't remember what i usually order at the moment..) but we always make sure to book our dinner around 9 o' clock so that way we can see wishes right outside of the castle! its truly magical! it is our favorite spot to watch wishes, and they even include the wishes music! and since its indoors, you can watch them perfectly without the heat and bugs. just try to request a window seat. we do so each year, and we always seem to get a great table next to the window. The view really is spectacular, and we are never disappointed. its everyone's highlight of the trip! have a wonderful time!

I am booking it for my dd's bday. We haven't done it in years. For us its a special occassion place not somewhere we would dine every trip. We are booking breakfast after a trip to the BBB. Your paying to eat in the castle with the princesses. No egg is worth $40. :)

We enjoyed the breakfast very much. The food was very good, but of course, like others have said, it's not the food that you are paying for. It was a treat, and I was very happy we did it. DD had a wonderful time!

We also went at lunch on our 2nd trip, and I didn't care for the food. I at least want to *like* the food if I'm paying that much! Also, I guess because we had already been there, done that, it didn't have the same magic for me. DD still enjoyed, of course. I think maybe it's a once every 5 trips or so type of experience! We are definitely taking a break for awhile.

That said, I think it's something every Disney lover, especially with small girls, should try once!!!

or break it is your daughter's reaction to the princesses. We've been when my daughter was three, almost four and almost six. She enjoyed it each time. She didn't remember it too well after the first trip but the last two she remembers well.

BTW - we do lunch each time. It fits better with our routine and my wife and I like the Major Domo's Favorite Pie.

We thought it was worth it, even my in-laws! We had brft, and thought the food was good(loved the stuffed french toast) and the interaction was great, didn't feel rushed or cramped at all, as I had read in some reviews. It was very magical for DD5, and I think DS8 even liked it - he did get a sword! That said, we will not be doing it again this trip, w/ FD we will try Akershus & 1900 PF. But I think you need to do it once!

yes, it is worth it.

We did breakfast and plan to do it again. I have some wonderful pics of DD and she was so happy to be a princess eating in the castle.

PS - I really enjoyed the food.

I booked dinner. Well at least I think its dinner ( 4:10pm). Its my first time at disney so I didn't know about trying to go during the night shows or getting in the park early. I was lucky to get a reservation at all. I booked in 3.5 weeks out! ;)

Keep in mind that dinner does not have the princesses at the meal. YOu will get a picture with Cinderella in the lobby and there is a little wishing ceremony with the Fairy Godmother and the Mice during dinner but they don't come around to the tables for autographs. If you book lunch or breakfast then you get Cinderella in the lobby plus other princesses roaming from table to table for pictures and autographs.
I may be in the minority but unless eating inside the castle is that important to you I (and my family - with two little girls) were not that impressed with the experience (for the price). The food was ok to blah - my DH didn't like it at all (I was the one that insisted we all go b/c it was the castle afterall)! Both of my girls (3 and 5) preferred the Princess Storybook Meal over the castle b/c the meal isn't rushed and the character interaction was much better (longer) at each table. BUT if you really want to eat in the castle, money is not an issue and you have ADR go for it!!!

To me, absolutely not, because to me the castle & princesses is not enough to make up for the mediocre food.

But for a small girl, it might be priceless. As the above poster pointed out, be advised you don't get circulating princesses coming to your table at dinner, but you will meet Cinderella in the lobby and see a little show by the Fairy Godmother and the mice.

DBF treated me to CRT last year and I loved it - I'm 25 :lmao: We did early breakfast so that we could have a quiet Main St and then slowly made our way to the castle.

I'd never met Cinderella before, as a child (something I'd longed for!), so meeting her in the lobby for me, was just fantastic, even being older!! I was made up just with that :rotfl2: But, the experience for me of actually being 'inside' the castle was great too.

There was plenty food for myself and DBF and I have to say, we quite enjoyed the breakfast! We got a pastry selection, fruit salad our cooked breakfast and then tea or coffee alongside 'bottomless' fresh orange. Quite enjoyed it, DBF certainly did!

Don't know if I'd do it again this time around, unless my Mum wished too. But I'd do it again in future trips. Next year it's Ohana's for me - to fulfil another wish and meet my beloved Stitch

I am so glad to hear all of the support. I will be doing CRT for the first time on our Sept trip and I am 39! Both my kids and I will be eating in the castle for the first time together.:goodvibes

For me, its worth the price. We ate CRT for breakfast and my son loved it. He was 2 at that time...he had great interaction with all the princesses...they took their time with the meet and greet...they all kissed his checks and he loved the attention...food was ok but the experience for us as a family was Priceless. I say go at least once to eat at the castle for the experience. Enjoy

It depends on what you are looking for.

Food....no way it's pretty mediocre for what you pay or for the 2 dining credits.

Ambience...yup, everyone should do the castle at least once.

Just don't set yourself for a cullinary event.
