I'm helping friends plan their trip with an 8 year old princess lover who has never been to Disney World. I've been to Cinderella's Royal Table many years ago when my kids were little. Wasn't thrilled with it but it was our first visit so it was a must do. That was a long time ago though so I don't want to advise them based on an old experience. They are on the dining plan. Part of me says not worth 2 dining credits and planned properly they can see the princesses elsewhere. But it IS the castle. Any thoughts, recent experiences? I don't want to steer them wrong.

Price wise it's probably not worth it but it's all about the experience. I'd say go for it- We recently had a not so great experience there but it is what it is- you are eating inside the castle and for my 6 yr old DD, it was amazing.

It's definitely pricey, but it can be worth it to meet the Princesses…without having to wait in long lines, or use up a valuable Fastpass. Plus, I think it's worth it to at least once be able to say you dined inside the castle - and be sure to use the restroom while there, too, as it's pretty impressive. So they lose an extra dining credit - just eat at a quick-service restaurant, and save some $$$. ;)

Worth is so subjective. We've eaten there and enjoyed it, but decided never to go back because we had boys. Then our little princess came along, so we've got one reservation scheduled for this fall and I have two more planned for my "Princess Trip" when it's just me and her next year.

I think if you're going to do it the first trip is the one to do so. No trip is quite so magical as the first and no place more magical for a child that age. I vote yes.

We ate there last Thursday for dinner and loved it. We paid OOP, and it was definitely expensive but we thought it was worth it. Definitely one of my daughters' favorite parts of the trip. Our food was excellent as well. I had the steak and shrimp and my DH had the cod and they were both delicious. My DDs got the kid's steak and theirs was really good too.

I took my DD when she was little for breakfast without my hubby and paid OOP instead of using dining credits. She was thrilled and I enjoyed the chance to eat in the castle once.

We had dinner there in April and we really liked our meal and the experience. We also paid out of pocket ahead of time, it was very expensive but it was enjoyable. My DD is 16 and she loves the princess's so it was worth it to us. The food was very good as well.

its about the magic every time I go I say there ripping me off but when I see my daughter and niece interact with the princesses I say its worth it , pay upfront dont use the dining credits and dont look at your credit card when you get home, there only young for a short time.

I have 2 boys, and they loved it - they were treated like princes and given swords. The meals were great and the character interactions spot on. For us it was worth it to do once, but I doubt we will return for a long time since there are so many other options available.
