CRT..to hold or not! URGENT!!
Tomorrow is the big day....time to book CRT! I had a practise run this morning (UK time so started dialling at 11.55am)...got through at exactly 12.00 noon (7am EST) and stabbed 1 and got put on hold. I stayed on hold for 10 mins (I COULD have made a booking today, but it would have been our first morning and I didnt really want it), hence I hung up after 10 mins.

QUESTION: Tomorrow, on the day I REALLY want, do I stay on hold or redial immediately??? What are everyones experiences/opinion??

Thanks
Allie

On both occasions I have been successful I have tried to dial at
06.57.30. EST This seems to get you through to the USA from the UK at 06.58 just as the lines open. On one occasion I was answered straight away , on the second I was on hold about 1min and then answered.

If you can use more than one line that also increases your chances.

I don't know if its best to stay on hold - in theory once you're in the queque maybe you should stay in it - maybe others can add
more advice to the above.

regards

Alec

Once you get on hold you are in the queue. If you hang up and dial again, you will be further back in the queue. Stay on hold.

Again as the other poster stated-best idea, if you have two phones, stay on hold with the first one through and keep calling on the second.

But if you get put on hold longer than 5 minutes, you can kiss it good-bye. They usually get filled up within 1 or 2 minutes.

I agree with the poster who said to use more than one phone. That way if you are put on hold you can keep calling with the other line.

Even if you are put on hold before another person it doesn't mean that you will be answered before them. I called a couple of weeks ago using 2 phones. The line that was put on hold first was not the line they answered first. I would imagine there is some order to it, but it isn't exactly in the order the calls were received.

Good luck!!!

Teresa
