CRT & TiWL

We have an ADR for CRT in August --we are not on the dining plan - so the meal is already paid (oi vey 5 adults & 2 children )-- we do have the TiWL card. I forgot to mention that when I made the reservation. I did call Dining the other day & they told me the 20% would be taken care of the day we are there.
Just wondering what anyone else's experience is..........(cause we all know one CM will tell you one thing & another will tell you something else )

When I booked my reservation last year I had not gotten my TIW card so I just booked and paid the full rate.
When I got to the restaurant I mentioned this to our server and I was given the option of having the difference credited back to my credit card or a Disney gift card for the amount. I chose the gift card.
