We just got back from Disney today 11/6. We ate at CRT while we were there and I gotta say we liked it and were disappointed at the same time. We payed oop since we do not have a dining plan and it is the one thing we all wanted to do to make our trip special.

We knew going in how expensive it was..so it wasn't a surprise. WE had a ressie for 7:40pm. We waited and waited to get our pics with Cinderella. She was "having tea":lmao: That was cute....but then 20 minutes passed and we were hungry. We just wanted Cindy to get her butt out there. Really how long is tea? :cutie: Anyway she finally came out. She was very good. She had all the mannerisms down and was very prim and proper. Very princess like. We enjoyed her a lot. My dd7 was completely in awe.

After pics with Cinderella..we had more waiting. I think we finally got in around 8:30...possibly later since I stopped checking the time. We weren't expecting to wait that long and were very hungry.

Finally it was time and we got to go in. The castle was very lovely. Just as I remember it years ago. Our waiter called us princes and princesses. I had the salad with blue cheese which was very very good. My husband had the salmon crab cake which he said was "ok". That is where the disappointment set in. I don't know if it was because it was later in the evening.. but the food was not very good. I had the prime rib which was very dry and chewy. The potatoes were ok and my asparagus was shriveled up and quite crunchy. I am not a picky eater at all..and I was disappointed. My dh and dd12 had the lamb..which they said was ok..nothing spectacular. I don't remember what my the other two kids ate...nuggets I think? We also had the molten cakes for dessert which didn't like at all..Not much flavor and very dry until you get to the chocolate inside.

So the food was kind of drab and for the price not worth it...but we really enjoyed the show aspect. The mice came around and were surprisingly interactive. I was surprised since I have heard that it is just a small show to say happy birthday. The mice came over and kissed my daughter's head..They danced around as The Fairy Godmother sang...they grabbed some kids and danced with them. They took ample time for pictures. The Fairy godmother sang her songs and went all around the castle. She came and patted my daughter on the head and waved to my son. Then the mice came back around again and hung out with everyone..They were a lot of fun.

Our service was good too..our waiter was on the ball and constantly kept bring us drinks . So while we were disappointed with the food..the show was fun and my kids loved it..The other thing is the pictures you get..We got one of the whole family with Cinderella and also just the kids. I love having that keepsake to take home with me.

Now to be fair, I remember going here on my honeymoon and the food being very good..unless now that I am older, I have had better food and have a lot more to compare it too. But the experience and souvenir made the night. Oh and the girls get star wands that have Royal table on it..my dd7 loved this!! And my son got a sword. He would have been happy with just that.

I thought I had read that Cinderella wasn't around at dinner, just the Fairy Godmother?

We have been there when it was King Stephan's Banquet Hall and it was a fantastic experience. The food, atmosphere and service were outstanding.

We have eaten there twice since the made the change it it had been adequate at best. The character interaction is fun when they are on and get around to your table but for the price, you'd think they could provide a better dining experience.

our two cents
