I know that you will all understand my frustration with the problem I am having with Disney Dining. This is long, and if you can get through it and share some pixie dust with me, I appreciate it.
We are leaving in 3 days for a trip of celebrations. My sister will be turning 40, her husband is surprising her with a vow renewal at the Poly (which I have planned) and my niece is turning 10.
I have been planning this trip since March, it is my 10th WDW trip and I know what needs to be done and when it needs to be done, a big part of this knowledge has been obtained on these boards.
So, at 90 days out, determined by using the PS calculator, I get up at the crack of dawn and try for CRT for 9/1 for DNiece's birthday celebration. I get through and get I get it for 8:10 AM!! Woo Hoo!
Well, this past Tuesday, after reading and hearing about all the wonderful birthday cakes those of you here have ordered, I get on the phone to order a cake with our breakfast (what are birthdays for??). I give the cast member my confirmation number and she says okay on 8/31 at 8:10 AM...and I nearly yell WHAT DATE DID YOU SAY? She repeats 8/31. I tell her no, that is not possible, I made a reservation for 9/1. She asks me if I am sure, yes I am sure, that is my niece's birthday, and on 8/31 my Dsis is renewing her vows, I wouldn't have made this mistake. Now I will summarize, a manager gets on, promises to do what he can to fix this, tells me 90% of the time they can, and he will call me back by 5PM on Wednesday.
Well, guess what, 5:00 Wednesday comes and goes and no call. So I call back today, ask to speak with said manager. Cast member who answers says let me help you. Well after 35 minutes on the phone (mostly holding) he comes back and says good news, I have you in for 9:15. Oh no. We have the Family Magic Tour booked and have to be at town hall at 9:45. Cast member tells me he can't do anything about the time, etc., etc.
At this point, I am very upset, first for the mix up, then for the cast member who never called back, and now for spending over 30 mins on the phone and still not resolved to my satisfaction. I ask for a manager. I get a manager on the phone, go over the entire situation. She is hesitant, but somewhat sympathetic. She is going to try to fix the situation and call me back by the end of the day. Well, it's almost the end of the day, and still no call.
Please, if you have any pixie dust laying around, toss it my way. This was to be my niece's birthday party and she will be so heart broken if we can't have breakfast with Cinderella.
