Just wondering your opinions...do I book CRT or Norway? Also, what's a good time for your CRT adr if you want pictures in front of the castle without many others around AND a photopass photographer out?? Thanks!

The best and only time to get a pic in front of the castle is first thing in the morning, before the park opens. Make breakfast ressies at one of the TS restaurants for as close to 8am as possible and you will be admitted to the park 20 min before your reservation - nice time for photos! The photographers are generally ready and waiting.

As for CRT vs Akershus, there are many opinions out there but most tend to favour Akershus these days as it is only 1 TS (vs 2 at CRT). We are doing Akershus on our trip in April and really looking forward to it. I was torn about not eating in the castle, but we are also doing 1900 Park Fare so we are already guaranteed to see Cinderella. We are also splurging and doing My Disney Girl's Perfectly Princess Tea Party (thanks to a PIN savings!) so we will have special time with Aurora too.

I have done both. I am glad I did CRT for the experience but the cost was not worth it. Akershus breakfast is a must for us every time we go.

Hmmm....now I'm torn. I guess we'd really be doing CRT for mostly the atmosphere and pictures...DD will only be one year so she won't know! :) How would you compare the food/atmosphere of the two?

Well, there's nothing like the castle if you ask me. I like the food and the character interaction. Cost is a bit much, but the experience is so fun! Akershus is great as well. I like that it has the buffet and the preplated aspect. It seems a little crowded in there for the princesses to make their way around. It would be hard to choose between the 2!! They both have positives and negatives...

Wherever you go, you will have great princess interaction and great food :goodvibes

Only speaking for my family .. but our dinner at Akershus was among the worst I have ever had at a Disney Table Service Meal, and we have eaten at most restaurants at Disney. The meatball type entree we had were cold in the middle, we resent it back, and it came back not much warmer than before. The service wasnt too good either. Temperature aside, the food itself was "forgettable" . Granted, CRT is more expensive, but our meal there was very good (prime rib).

Food aside .. if you like princesses you would be happy at Akershus. And if you like a cocktail with your dinner . you wont find it at CRT.

Our vote is CRT

I think for either of them, breakfast is your safest bet. Akershus breakfast is one of my husbands favorite meals. Lunch and dinner at Akershus has Norweigan food so check the menu to make sure it would be something you like.

Akershus is good, but you can't beat eating in a princess castle. I'd do CRT at least once. We really enjoyed lunch there.
