 Going crazy obsessing about ADR's my date is coming close!!!!Anyway I need expert advise--I am trying to decide between CRT and Concourse steakhouse for dinner our first night in. We will be at MK , but probably wont get there until 2-3pm I think the menu at Concourse looks more like what my DD's would prefer-- they both  french onion soup---and CRT looks ok but the accompaniments to the dinners look maybe too exotic for us (although we will try anything that looks good-arent picky-and hey--ITS FREE!!!) So I dont know if it will be too much of a hassle to walk all of the way out of MK and monarail to CR or if CRT will be just as good anyway---ANY thought s advise or recent dining comments would greatly be appreciated!! :cool1:

Based on the time you are arriving, I would go with CRT. You are just going to get going in the MK and may not want to leave for dinner. The dinner in the castle will give you a nice break from the heat and still keep you in the middle of it all. Besides, I think the food and service is great! Have even heard you can get special HCOE desserts there.

I think a lot depends on where you are coming from and your mode of transportation. If you are sure you will checked in and whatever else needs to be done and will be at MK as early as 3:00 the wandering around and doing attractions then dining in the Castle would be the thing to do. If you are not really sure of your timing, Concourse Steak House opens at 5:30 and you can plan on that. Also reservations tend to be a lot easier for Concourse as opposed to Castle.

While I like the food at Concourse ok, there's nothing magical about this restaurant. Having CM so close kind of detracts from things, too. Why not jump on the resort monorail and have a great dinner at Kona?

Either look good to me, but since MK is open later I would stay there and eat at CRT

One other place you might consider might be the California Grille which is on the top floor of the CR. If you time it right you might be up there for the fireworks finale at MK.

But, there is nothing like eating inside the castle.
