Please help--I need to make PS's tomorrow morning  !!! DD princess: wants to go to CRT, DS pirate: wants Chef Mickey's. DH :earboy2: says to let breakfast fare be the tie-breaker. For those of you who have been to both for breakfast, please share your thoughts on how the food was (i.e. taste, hot items still hot, etc.). I've already checked out the menus, just want opinions on experiences you all have had.
TIA!!!

For us, hands down it would be Chef Mickey's for food. Even though we LOVE eating at the Castle with the Princesses, the food is not that great. I like the stuffed pastry but no one else in my family likes any of it.

For girls the CRT is the best thing going. Chef Mickey's great for your Mickey experience but for food, I'd pick Chef Mickey's.

We thought the food at CRT was delicious although I have read lots of reviews that say otherwise. Chef Mickey's has a nice buffet. I tend to like sit down meals over buffet style so I would recommend CRT. Any possible way that you can do both? We are doing CRT for DD and Chef Mickey's for DS.

Well- we've done both and loved both for different reasons! For girls- nothing beats eating in the real castle with the real princesses. DD5 thinks this is a must every trip- if only she knew how hard it is to get 'invited'! It is simply magical. However, the food isn't that great to me. The stuffed french toast is good- I just don't like the blueberry sauce on top of it. But, like I said, I go here for DD to have the experience.
Chef Mickey's is great fun and great food for breakfast! We loved the food and the characters are a good selection- Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Chip, Dale and Pluto. But, we don't love to do this one b/c of traveling back and forth from MK. Maybe we had a bad monorail experience, but it took forever to catch a monorail after the breakfast.
If you could, I would do both. If you can't do both- I don't know what I'd do...... sorry, no help there! princess:

ITA!!!! :wave2:

I'd try for a CRT PS, simply because they are so much more difficult to come by. I'd imagine it would be much easier to book Chef Mickey's - you'll know by 7:15am whether you got CRT or not, and can then default to Chef Mickey's pretty easily! They are both fun, but the castle certainly has a special "thrill" factor!!!

We just did Chef Mickey's last week. There was TONS of food - every breakfast thing you could want. My only complaint was that all of it was cold. I even tried to get things from the bottom of the tray, nearer the warmer, but it was no improvement. We still ate until we were sick! The kids saw all the characters and the great thing was not having to chase them down or stand in line! Enjoy!

All I have to say is "cream cheese french toast"!!!!It is one of the reasons we go crt as well as for dd to see princesses and prince charming. I much prefer the food at the castle for breakfast. I do however like both breakfast and dinner at chef mickeys. My son is an avid fan of cm so we go on our first night every trip. Our first breakfast is crt. That way everybody is happy. It is now tradition.

Never been CRT, but my kids, DD7 and DS4 - the loved Chief Mickey. The character interaction was wonderful. The first thing we did before we hit the parks the next day was go to Chief Mickey. My DS4 was in terror of the characters (we knew it) before the meal, after the meal he was hooked. Goofy is the host and in the waiting area. My DD was so excited to get his autograph and my DS could not get outdone by his sister, so he went running up to Goofy too. I was so teary eyed that was over is terror of characters. That was our whole trip. After that meal, he could not get enough autographs. DS could care less about meeting princesses, so this is a more equal character meal for both boys and girls. ::MinnieMo

Do CRT for breakfast and Chef Mickey's for early dinner. They have an excellent dinner. I really love the breakfast at CRT and would pick that over CM's any time.

We have done both and, if food were the deciding factor, it would be Chef Mickey's all the way!! I guess we don't prefer the preplated food at CRT. I don't like a really heavy breakfast but that yogurt/granola concotion at CRT? Bleck! Neither DD or DS are thrilled about princesses so that makes our decision even easier.

I would follow the suggestion of try for CRT. It's a hard ressie to get - if you get it, Go! If not, Chef Mickey's it is. :) I am glad we went to CRT. We just wouldn't ever do it again.
