I still can't decide -- which would you do and why? Thanks in advance

CRT = very expensive but has atmophere/castle; prepaid; princesses at breakfast and lunch; not really a character dinner (no circulating princesses). Photo package included.

CGF = nice buffet; only Cinderella and her friends Fairy Godmother, Prince Charming, Suzie and Perla.

PSB = great breakfast, ok lunch/dinner; princesses (at all 3 meals) with the chance to either see Ariel with legs or Belle in her yellow gown. :woohoo:

My first choice would be PSB breakfast, then lunch (for the chance to see Ariel).

Next, I'd pick CGF dinner.

Last choice would be CRT breakfast (would not eat there at lunch or dinner) however, I've eaten in the castle before so I don't need to experience it again.

We did the Princess Storybook Breakfast a couple of weeks ago and it was wonderful!! That morning we were able to visit with Belle (yellow gown), Cinderella, Snow White, Sleeping Beauty and Mary Poppins.

It was so nice to have almost all of the princess right there in the room, and they were so great with the kids!! Snow White and Sleeping Beauty even kissed my ds on the forehead and cheek (leaving lip prints). The kids were just thrilled!!

The food was pretty good, although you really go for the princesses. I would definitely recommend it!!

Here's a related question: I thought the world showcase was closed at breakfast time, so do they just let you into Norway for the Storybook breakfast?

yes. princess storybook starts seating at 8:30.

i ate there for lunch (11:30) on sunday and i have to tell you, i thought the food was amazing. had the pasta with chicken.

we had belle as a greeter (with the gown). then were visited by ariel, aurora, jasmine and cinderella.

also did CRT for dinner and Park Fare breakfast.

We chose the GF Cinderella dinner. However, while I am there it will take place at the GF Cafe instead of 1900 due to refurbishment. I am anxious to hear reviews when the switch begins July 9, it will continue through Oct 1. You might want to take that into consideration. If the reviews are horrible, I doubt they will be, I will switch to the PSB breakfast. CRT is my last choice due to value and family dynamics. My daughter is only 2 and I would rather wait and go when she will remember it more. Even then I think I may just make it a mother-daughter meal.

We are doing CRT before MNSSHP in October. How was dinner? How was the interaction? Did you like the Storybook one better? I was thinking of booking that one too....

I did CRT before MVMCP and before the changes and loved it.

I just wanted to point out though that dinner isn't a character meal. There really isn't 'interaction'. The fairy Godmother and the two girl mice will do a celebration show for any celebrations but they don't circulate for photos/autographs.

actually, Suzy and Perla will go around for photos, but don't sign (or at least they did in our case). the FGM also moves around a little bit but didn't really visit the tables. i can dig up some photos in a bit.

and the girls did get wands. big blue plastic wands that have 'Cinderella's Royal Table' imprinted on them.

the food was quite good to me. i had the cheese tortellini.

not necessarily worth $40 per adult mind you. it was about $200 with the DDE with 3 adults (1 is 11) and 1 child. the 11 year old ate off the children's menu, but they 'adult-sized' the meal. great server too (Jay). actually when i ate at the restaurant for dinner a couple of years ago i had a great server too, Fernando.

We did the princess storybook breakfast last year when we went. We had a really great time. We thought the food at the breakfast was really good. We met Belle, Snow White, Sleeping Beauty, Jasmine and Mulan. There was good character interaction. My son even had a great time. My daughter said it was her best meal.

Okay - -am I reading this right -- no character interaction at CRT dinner?

And -- if anyone has eaten at PS Norway for lunch or dinner could you please describe the food -- the only thing familiar is pasta, short ribs and salmon.

Thanks

CRT dinner: Cinderella downstairs for photos. periodically, there is a show upstairs with FGM and Suzy and Perla. Suzy and Perla make the rounds for photos. no autographs. no other princesses.

So I talked my son into eating one meal with princess since he is all boy but he is doing for his mommy because I absolutely am a princess fanatic. Right now we booked 1900 Park Fare for dinner because I am a cinderelly freak. am i reading this right that she is also at the Norway one ? Which place do you think my son would prefer more at 6 years old ? We leave Sunday so may not be able to change much but just in case.. all opinions greatly appreciated

cindy isn't guaranteed at norway. no princess really is.

We didnt see Cindy there, I would think if she is in it was only to fill in for someone who was out. We had Belle in yellow, Mulan, Aurora, Jasmine and snow white for our breakfast.

We paid OOP for lunch at CRT last week-awesome! THe food was excellent and filling. THe atmosphere and princess interaction were amazing!! The picture package was really nice!!!
My husband even calls this a must do for the next trip!!

I personally like the Norway restaurant. The last 2 times we were there we saw cinderella, snow white, jasmine, mulan, belle, aurora and ariel. When I saw Cindy I was thrilled b/c I was told by disney dining that she normally doesnt show.

The food in Norway is ok. I didnt like the salad bar, however the entree menu is not so bad. For dinner, Short ribs and the pasta is good. My DH liked the meatloaf dish (not called meatloaf though). At lunch they offer a soup and salad that was actually very good- I think it was a salmon sandwich. They were very accomadating to the kids - made up a plate of pasta and butter for my very picky 1 year old son. The desserts at the end was the best part! :thumbsup2

We actually did all three on our last stay, and will do that again on our next stay, but we go to Disney principally for the characters, not the rides.

My impressions from last time:
Park 1900 dinner--Characters are normally the Fairy Godmother as greeter, Cinderella, Prince Charming, Suzy, and Perla, but we had a substitution of Alice in Wonderland for the Fairy Godmother, as "the Fairy Godmother is cleaning the castle." The food here is VERY good, with lots of choice. My DH enjoyed the salmon and the beef, and I enjoyed a veggie pasta dish w/red sauce. Nice desserts on the buffet, plus I special ordered a white chocolate "glass slipper" dessert filled with chocolate mousse b/c it was my dh's 40th birthday. It was an impressive presentation, and they wrote "Happy Birthday Andy" in chocolate on the plate.

CRT (castle) breakfast--Neat experience. We got to see Cinderella (obviously), Aurora, Snow White, Belle, and Fairy Godmother. The pre-plated breakfast was at best warm. My dd (who was 3, and is a picky eater) refused her pre-plated breakfast outright, but chowed down on the fruit cup in a large champagne glass that was brought for the table, and our excellent server David said she could have more if she wanted it. Food wise, this did not hold a candle to the Crystal Palace or 1900 Park buffet breakfasts, BUT we had a prime table overlooking Fantasyland, the kids had fun doing a wand and sword wishing ceremony with the Fairy Godmother...I'm completely glad we did it. We're going to try lunch this time to see if we like the food any better.

PSB dinner--Nice character interaction, good variety of princess. We had Ariel as greeter (who was TERRIFIC and interacted with my dd a lot), Belle, Aurora, Jasmine, and Mulan. The cheeses and salads were okay...though it was a little bit hard to figure out when to get on line. My DH was hungry when we arrived, but every time he'd get on line for the cold buffet, he'd see a princess heading our way! My pasta and chicken entree was unimpressive. The pasta was overcooked. (I don't think that is necessarily a reflection of Norwegian cooking, just what I got.) Desserts were nice. We're going to try breakfast this time.
