CRT or Akershus?

Going to Disney for the first time in January/February with my DD5 who adores the princesses. Which is better for interaction with princesses? I'm more concerned about that than the actual food. Thanks!

I'd personally pick Akershus - Princess Storybook Dining. We've done both. I liked the castle, but it seems a little more laid back and casual at PSD. Also, you can see a variety of characters. We've seen the usual princesses, but we've also seen Pocahontas, Alice in Wonderland, etc. also. We like the atmosphere and the kids (and parents) love the appetizer bar and dessert! :)

I do have to admit that the food was really great at the castle too! If you're on the dining plan, keep in mind that the PSD at Akershus is only 1 table service per person. The castle is 2.

Have a great time!

the two since we have only been to CRT. After the first time my daughter won't go anywhere else. I'll leave the comparisons to others that have the broader experience.

What I can say is that in the three times we have been to CRT I have been very happy with the interaction. This past trip I was really happy to see Jasmine, who we haven't seen before, and Ariel who I never expected to see at CRT.

You'll be happy at either one. We went for lunch to both places in April. We're going to do both again in October. DD3 can't get enough princesses!!!!

We enjoyed the food and the interaction at both places. At CRT there's more of a presentation of the princesses, with each princess being announced before they make their grand entrance into the dining room. Then they go around and greet each table.

At Norway, the princesses make their way around to each table, just without the grand entrance. We didn't feel rushed at either place, had a delicious meal at both, and had a nice selection of princesses at both.

We did both, and I would recommend CRT. Ours were lunches, and we really didn't care for the food at princess stroybook. CRT food was really good, and being in the castle was a big plus. The drawback was the fact that ity was a 2TS meal.

We have only been at CRT but nothing like meeting Cinderella at the castle. I have never been here and we went here last year...thinking I have a son so I have to go here while he is young and doesn't mind going here. When he meet Cinderella...she talked to him for a bit and then told him next time you came to Disney please visit me again at the castle (so for our December trip...he tells me "don't forget we need to see Cinderella at the castle so we need to eat there with all the other princess...he is 4 but remembers his conversation with Cinderella). The other princess was great with my son...they took time to talk and chat, sign his autograph book, get a couple of pictures (by himself, then me and my son and then my son and husband). We did not feel rushed. We enjoyed our breakfast but I'm not sure if I want to do it again but then my son ask me so I'll try and get an ADR for our Dec trip. It was very memoriable for him eating at CRT. Mind you we ate at alot of characters meal and he asked for this place and 2 other places.

I couldn't decide, so I am doing both in Sept. DD3 loves princesses and I figure why not, let's live it up while we can. If I had to choose, I would go with CRT. That is by far the reservation I am looking forward to the most, because it's the castle!!! They have a little wishing ceremony for the kids and they get a wand (girl) or sword (boy). I think it is so special and I just can't wait. We are doing BBB beforehand.

I've heard great things about Akershus, and I think it's neat we get a photo included, but I just don't think it's the same as the castle. But the castle is expensive (OOP) or 2TS, so that's the con.
