Which would be better for a 2 year old? I've been to CRT, but it's been 15 years and I've head the food is now terrible. I've never been to Akerhus, but wonder if the food would be a bit to "norwegian" for a toddler.

I'd suggest Akershus. Go for the princess breakfast, where you get a free picture with Belle included. The princess interaction is very nice and at breakfast, the only Norwegian thing you'll find is herring in the cold food buffet.

We've eaten there twice and think the breakfast is very good. There's a cold food area with cheese, rolls, the aforementioned herring, yogurt, fruit, breakfast pastries, etc. Then you also get bacon, eggs, sausage, this yummy potato casserole, no pancakes as I recall, biscuits, cinammon rolls.

We did CRT this morning. I found the breakfast food to be just fine. They serve pastries at the table when you are seated: croissants, cinnamon rolls, and a chocolate filled pastry. The kids are served eggs, bacon, and french toast sticks. The adults can choose between a traditional breakfast (eggs, bacon, sausage, and potatoes) or a goat cheese spinach quiche or a healthy breakfast (I don't recall the items). We finished before the princesses greeted us and our waiter asked several times if they could get us anything else. We declined because it was plenty of food for our family.

The one benefit to CRT is that if you can get a reservation before the park opens, your group will be allowed to enter as early as 8 am. You can take some amazing photos of a nearly empty main street with the castle in the background!

We went on DDP, so went to Akershus for breakfast and had a fine time! Lots of pastries to choose from in a buffet, and eggs and bacon and such brought to the table!

Akershus. More time with the princesses and only 1 TS credit compared to 2 for CRT.

This chik votes Akershus! My dd loved it way more than CRT! More princesses! We got great pics of our dd with so many different princesses.:goodvibes

50/50 reports on CRT for food so it's hard to say.

My experience in May 2011 was perfect and the food was great.

Ashkeshus was 'ok'. Honestly the food was average and way too salty.

Both were for dinner.

I found we had the same amount of time with Princesses at both events.

For a 2 y/o? I have no idea, lol.

I can say when we go back in December, we'll be going back to CRT and skipping Aker.

I too would choose Akershus. My daughter actually liked Akershus better than CRT when she was three and five. Now we save that extra table service credit and don't go to CRT at all. I don't think the food will deter your daughter at all. I've never eaten anything there that my kids wouldn't eat (and like most kids they can be picky). We've eaten there when my youngest ate off my plate and never had a problem. If you were concerned, you could order your daughter a kids meal. It's your standard hot dog, pizza, etc. so nothing Norwegian about that.

Is it really as difficult as hyped to get an ADR for CRT? We want to do both princess meals any thoughts 4 kids, 3 girls one boy first trip with kids to WDW

We've been to Akershus for BF, Lunch, and dinner and to CRT for lunch. I loved the view and atmosphere at CRT and the food was pretty good too. We liked the special touches they did for the children (magic wands and such), but I don't really think it was worth 2 TS meals.

Akershus has great food for all meals - there are more norwegian like options at dinner than the other meals, but there's tons for the kids too - even if they eat nothing but plain chicken and fruit.

Both meals you get a picture included in the price CRT with Cinderella, Akershus with Belle We've had both great and not so great CM character interactions at both places.

Ultimately for us it comes down to which park we need an ADR for. Last trip we spent a lot of time at MK and there are only so many places in the area we're willing to eat vs EPCOT that has so many places we enjoy eating.

My choice is which ever's available when you want it. DH would say Akershus hands down. DDs would say Princesses? Yes! :cloud9:
