We are new to the DDP & going this year. How many of you would pay OOP for CRT lunch instead of using 2 TS credits? I dont think its worth it for the 2 credits but I also dont want to have credits left over....TIA:goodvibes

We are using the DlxDDP on our Dec. trip and going to do CRT for dinner. My DH has never been willing to pay OOP for CRT, but has no problem going using 2 TS credits. On the day we are going there we are just going to eat a snack for breakfast, have an early lunch, and then an early dinner. If your doing the DlxDDP I think it is more than worth the 2 TS credits. If your on the basic DDP I would still use the 2 TS credits and just pay OOP for a less expensive meal.

If you can use those credits elsewhere you may be better off paying OOP for CRT Lunch. The approximate 'value' per credit at CRT is $17.99 for an adult, as the price for lunch is $35.99.

If you're going during one of the holiday increases, your value per credit increases to $19.99.

Here's how your day would break down cost wise
$69.99 - Adult DxDDP Cost
-$35.99 - CRT Lunch Cost
-$2.34 - Value of Tax (you'd pay tax OOP, no tax is added for using DDP or DxDDP Credits)
$31.66 - Left over to use for Dinner.

To come out ahead or even on the day, you'd want to choose a more expensive TS restaurant for dinner that night.

As I said - if you can use those two credits elsewhere for other lunches to balance signature dinners, you may be better off doing it that way.

We are hoping to do CRT for breakfast when we go and we plan to pay OOP for it. Since we are there for 7 nights we would only have 5 TS credits left and we were going to pay for Ohana's breakfast, which still only had us dining at 6 TS restaurants. After looking at it and doing the math the $60 we were saving by paying OOP for O'hana versus CRT wasn't worth losing the extra TS credit. So we are plainning to pay OOP for CRT and still have 7 restaurants to try.

We always pay OOP for CRT.....next trip we're doing deluxe dining so we will use 2 credits, but on regular dining we seemed to always be better off paying OOP for it.......
