We were able to snag a dinner at CRT on a MVMCP night. The ADR is at 5:30 and I know the party starts at 7:00. This is also all on a Friday night. Is this a wise decision to do a dinner on a party night, or should we keep the dinner and do the party on another night?

I would not book CR or any other TS meal on a party night, at least not after 5PM, which is our cutoff.

If you are doing the party that night and want to see one of the most popular characters/character groups, such as the 7 Dwarves or Santa Jack Skellington, then you would want to be in line for that character well before the party starts. For either of those, you would want to be lined up at or before 6:00 or you would lost a lot of valuable party time as their lines remain consistently long during the party. So, CRT would not be good if characters are really important to you. If you don't care about the characters, then 5:30 would be fine. You could grab your party wristbands at 4:00 and then I would show up at CRT 15 or 20 minutes early for the ADR in hopes that you won't have to wait long to be seated. You should be finishing up at CRT right about the time the party starts. We have done multiple parties before, and focused one night on the characters and one night on the other party things. We have had a 5:30 ADR (ours was BOG) on the 2nd night where we were not planning on getting in line for a character before the party started and it worked out fine. Normally, we don't do an ADR party night, but it was the only night we could get BOG.

We did CRT on a party night, I think our ADR was for 5. It worked well for us. We took our time walking up Main Street checking out the decorations-we purposely made the party the first time in MK that trip. By the time we got out it was getting dark and everything just felt different and special. We weren't on a hunt for characters though. We just were there for the rides, atmosphere, parade and fireworks.

5 PM is our cutoff. We had a 5 PM BOG Adr and it worked out well for us. WE also like 5 at LTT, at least we did when there was a character meal / I miss that one! Any later we skip.

Thank you all. We have decided to keep the reservation, but do MVMCP on Thursday night instead. If we have a 5:30 reservation, and are done at 7:30 will cast members immediately escort us out of the park? I am just thinking that we would be getting done with dinner about the time that the parade was starting and didn't want to be pushing through the masses.

Yes, you'll likely be escorted out. They can use the back exit behind the Main St bakery if need be to get you out.

What time do you think that we would be done with our dinner? This is our last night of our vacation and was hoping to watch the fireworks from either the Contemp. or TTC? Do you think that we would be done in enough time?
