Hello!

I want to make reservations for CRT for our trip in May. Is it really that hard to get reservations 180 days out!!??? If i call exactly 180 days before will it be totally booked already????

any thoughts would be awesome thanks

I have seen posts from people having a hard time getting the ADR. I however called once about 3 months before our Aug free dining trip and got lunch ADR with out a problem. I think some times are real hard to get while others are not. I am sure with people wanting to get in to the park before it opens those ADRs go fast as would the main lunch or dinner times. I wanted an early lunch and had no problem as I said. I could have just lucked our and got a canceled ADR.

We ate breakfast there on my DD's 13th b-day this past August.
I had called at exactly 180 days (at about 7:10am) & the cast member told me I had my choice of times for that breakfast....so evidently there were still plenty of spots open.

Good luck!!

I called at 180 for our Dec trip and couldn't get the day I requested. But I did get a breakfast later in the week. I think you should plan on it being difficult and be flexible if you can. Good luck

Breakfast is hard to get. Start calling 5-10 min before they open 180 days out. Lunch is easier to get. We called today and got a lunch in Feb.

Early breakfast is preferable due to getting in the park before it opens. It is the only time that you can get a picture of main street completely empty of people.

Just a little tip that I'm sure has been posted many times before (but I'm new here).

You can book all of your Disney Dining for more than 180 days out if staying on site!

For instance. If you want to make a reservation for CRT on the 4th day of your week long stay at a Disney Hotel, call 180 days out from the DAY YOU ARE GOING TO ARRIVE! So in this case you are technically making the reservation for the CRT at 184 days out.

I did this on my upcoming trip next week.

I wanted to do the Chef Mickey's Dinner on the day I arrived (3pm arrival so I wasn't going to the parks), so using my DIS Dining Calculator I called at 7am exactly 180 days out. I asked if I had to call back each day to make all my other dining reservations (at 180 days). The CSR told me that I could book all of my dining in that same call if I was staying on site for my entire trip. I am, staying at POP.

So at 180 days I booked Chef Mickey's, but at 180+ days I booked the Ohana Breakfast, Breakfastasouras, Play 'n Dine at H&V all in that same call for me and my DS.

So if by some chance at 180 days the CRT is sold out, it may be because people staying at Disney called and made reservations just like I did.

I called a few days past the 180 day mark and did get a late breakfast on one of the days we are there. Seems I had a couple times to chose from -- but much more if we had wanted lunch or dinner.

I just called the other day for Jan 11th (and its also marathon weekend that weekend) and there were 2 times available. 8:10am and 8:20am.

I just got back and made reservations on the 16th of Sept for the 18 of Sept, for a party of 7!!!!!!!!!

Food is horrible and not worth the $$, but my daughters face and reaction was PRICELESS!!!!

Keep trying:goodvibes

I made resv 190 days before my lunch resv @ the castle. Disney offers guests staying onsite the oppourtunity to make resv's 190 days out. There are only a certain amt of tables put aside for this so if you dont get it for the time you want 190 days out call on 180 days out and most likely you will still get a resv. (hope this makes sense)

Reservations for CRT are near impossible to get. Even if you call 180 (or 180+10) days in advance, there will be hoards of people trying to get ADR's also. The "Unofficial Guide to Disney World 2007" gives some really good tips on how to get an ADR. :)

WOW!! really I didnt know this was even an option. we are staying at the Beach Club so im assuming I qualify for this

Maybe it wont be as bad for me to get reservations because im leaning more towards a lunch than having breakfast there

We just got back from our trip. We had dinner ressies at CRT, but I had wanted to change it to lunch since the princesses would be there. I tried calling every other day for two months and nothing was available. The first day we arrived, we had dinner ressies at Crystal Palace. There is a kiosk in front of the restaurant that will check dining reservations for people. I thought I would just try one last time. Lo and behold, the CM was able to get us 1pm lunch ressies for a party of 4!! I was floored, I couldn't believe it! DD loved seeing the princesses (even though she had already seen them at Norway the day before). So, for anyone still trying to get CRT ressies, keep trying. You just never know what the magic of Disney will do ;)

There is always cancellations at the last minute, or people change there plans once they get to the parks. So, have a back up plan, and while vacationing, keep checking as alot of cancellations will happen in the last few days. ;)
