CRT: How strict on age?

I recently read that at CRT, little girls get a wand and boys get a sword. But it said ages 3-9. We are going with a 4 yr and a 2 yr old. There are going to be major tears at our table if only big sister gets a toy. Will they really refuse to give to the 2 yo? I realize that the 2 yo is free, but come on!

Anyone have any experience with this?

They give the wands/swords to all kids who want them regardless of age.

I dont have any exp here, but I can offer a crumb of advice. Be prepared for the meal w a little something hidden away for baby sis. Explain to big sis that baby sis got a surprise from mommy/ daddy, b/c she didnt get one from the restaurant

They gave my 2 year old a wand - didn't even have to ask for it. I wouldn't worry about it! I even read a trip report where they gave Grandpa a sword.

We went in Oct with DS13, DS10, DD4 & DSalmost2. They gave the 10 & 2 swords and the 4 year old a wand. They even asked the 13 yo if he wanted a sword, but he refused. He's way too "cool" for that
