CRT for Dinner?

Hi I just called to try and make a reservation for dinner at the Royal Table for 10/1/05, my 90 days out, and dinner was already booked. I did get lunch though for 1:00 PM so I was happy.

Does dinner normally sell out faster than lunch?

Wow, I would have thought it would the other way round. Lunch has Cinderella & characters, dinner does not.

Strange, I called just last week for July 6th - got 8:45 Dinner - a bit late - but got in.

I would have thought the same thing, I might try calling back later once the release the park hours, But I am not complaining, as I wanted to eat in the Castle so that is what works for us. At least I get to eat there, they also still had several openings for a party of 2 at lunch, so if you are wanting to eat there on 10/1/05 for lunch go ahead and give it a try.

I've found that often the parks won't take dinner reservations past a certain time - like only making them between 4:30-5:30 at 90 days out. Once you get around 30 days out (for my May trip it was 21 days out) the evening hours all opened up so I was able to move or get dinner reservations for after 6pm. This was true of CRT for dinner and the Fantasmic package at MGM.

About 30 days out try again for later times - if none keep trying every few days. Often someone will post here (I know on the TGM monthly boards someone always posts) that the times evening times have opened up for the month of "____".

You should be able to get dinner at CRT if that is what you want.

I also tried this morning and it was booked. I had read that breakfast (and now lunch) are hard to get but not dinner. I think the dining plan may have a little something to do with it. We didn't have our heart set on it so we just picked one of the other places we wanted to try but I did feel bad for all the little princesses who might be wanting to eat in the castle. I asked about times opening up later and she said if there were cancellations it was a possibility. Hope you'll be able to get your reservation!

I wanted to dinner, but figured that I should take the lunch since I want to eat in the castle and this is our last day there. I actually have a backup in place for the night I want to eat at MM in DMGM since I really want MM, I will just keep trying. Thanks for the good lucks, now if they would just open up the later times.

I called at 7am for CRT dinner today(my 90 days out) and asked for 6:15. (by the way I waited on hold from 0700 till 0725 to talk to a CM) He said "545 is all we have" I thought he just meant that this was the latest that he had--or the closest to my time request--I guess I feel lucky to get it. I never thought dinner would be hard to get!! Free dining will ensure that I'm up by 0700 all week!!!

I would def call back. This happened to me 2 weeks ago. The concierge at the WL contacted me and said they were full that night , so I was like what??? Then I called and they told me the same thing so the next day I called back again and I got it .....later that day I got an email from teh concierge staff and they had booked it too. DOnt know why that happened but I do suggest to keep trying.
