I was all set to book CRT for breakfast for my DDs (6 and 4 for trip), but now I'm reading subpar reviews. I'm using the DDP (2 credits each), but if the food is bad, is the atmosphere worth it? Is the Akershus better? I'd love both sides of the reviews. What are the great character meals for young girls?

We went to WDW in Feb. with our 6 and 4 yr. old DDsprincess: princess: . They loved the Cinderella and Friends Dinner at 1900 in GF. We were celebrating our 4 year old DD's B-Day. The DDs were dressed in their princess outfits. Cinderella made a fuss over her. They were thrilled!
Also went to Akershus for dinner. It is Disney Princess Central. Ariel, Jasmine,Aurora, Belle and Snow White came to our table. Just beware they tried to sell us a 8x10 picture of our DDs with Aurora for $32!:scared1: Others have told me the breakfast ther was pretty good.

We have been to both and both are GREAT! But I must say I think being in the CRT is best for the 1st time!! :wizard:

Have FUN!!!

We have only been to CRT and that was in May 2006. Our DD3 and DS5 both loved the wonderful character interaction. Being in the castle was very cool as there was a lot to look at and the meal felt very special to all of us. We had also heard about not-so-good food, but that was not our case at all. Our breakfast food was all hot, fresh & delicious; we all had second helpings. This was definitely one of our favorite meals & made for great memories from that trip; to me it was worth the 2 TS (we were also on the DDP).

For our next trip in 2008, we will probably not go back, but only because we want to try other character meals that we haven't done yet.

One piece of advice: don't worry too much about bad reviews on these boards or elsewhere. A review is just one person's opinion. Since your kids are at good ages for the castle, just try it. If you don't like it, you can at least say you did it and then avoid it next time.

I read some terrible reviews of two of our favorite restaurants in Disney. I was so close to changing the ADRs, even up to the night we ate at one of the places--which ended up being our favorite of the trip last year. So my advice is, if you think your kids would like to eat in the castle and meet the princesses, then do it.

We've done CRT twice. Both times the food was....well....OK. The time spent with the caracters was OUTSTANDING!!! All spent plenty of time at each table and my DD's loved this.
Both times we got the first reservations of the day. It was great to walk down Main Street without many visitors around...this was my favorite part.

a definate yes from me. :cool1: I doesn't get much more disney than the CRT b-fast. :) We are going on July 25th 8:10 Adr. We are on the ddp but paying oop for this one.
