Going in Sept (thinking ahead)We have done the princess breakfast at Epcot X2 for breakfast and have really enjoyed it both times. This year we are going for my daughters birthday and she will be turning 8. She has requested princesses again. We have never been to the castle and I think its because I hate to use 2 TS for it. Family is plain eaters and we would do breakfast at either place. So now.... should I stick with Epcot or try to go to the castle??
It will be on her actual birthday if that matters at all. :goodvibes
It will be me, hubby, dd 9, dd 8, and ds 2

I have never been to the princess breakfast in Epcot, but we had breakfast in the Castle in November. I was nervous after reading so many negative reviews but we had a great time. We did not expect the food to be anything special and it was not, but it was fine. My DD was SO excited just to be eating in Cinderella Castle and she tells everyone about it. She loves the pictures that were included and our service was great. My only complaint would be the part before being seated upstairs- it was very unorganized and LOUD.

I prefer Epcot because it is the most bang for the buck when it comes to the princess character's.

Does your daughter care if she eats in the castle? If she doesn't care, I would eat at Epcot again. We thought the meal was great. The castle meal can be overrated.

We're definitely doing breakfast at Akershus and debating on lunch at CRT. I hear lunch is better than breakfast at CRT. HTH.

We have been to both... and both are very nice. We LOVE the castle ... its just so magical eating there... the food is good... even for my VERY picky vegetarian daughter. my kids are 20 and 16 and they STILL request the castle ( yes even my son)... he loves the food... I think if you can get a ressie its good to try it at least once!!

We eat in Norway - every trip - at least twice. We love it.

That said we did try the castle one year and I do recommend you try it at least once. It's neat to eat in the castle. Her birthday would be IMO the perfect opportunity.

Just a side note - to me the princess interaction was much quicker/ less personal in the castle. Not sure if that was due to a time constraint (trying to move people in / out faster) or what.

So while we tried the castle once - it's not something we're going to do often.

I think its worth trying once eating at the castle. It worth it for the memory of eating in the castle.
