Can you please tell me about your experience with CRTdinner...

Was the food good? What did you choose?

Were the pictures nice?

How was the service?

How long did your meal take?

Thanks for any and all info.:upsidedow

DH, DD and I went to CRT dinner in December 2006. We had a 4pm ADR which I wanted because I was hoping to get a window table before the dinner rush came in. We arrived to check in around 3:50 and we signed in.
At 4pm, we were let inside to the lobby where we waited on a very very short line to meet Cinderella.

They took our picture and then we were told to sit and wait. A few minutes later, they took us up the stairs to the 2nd floor where my daughter recieved a free magic wand toy as a souvenir.

To my surprise, we were seated at table 16, the best table at the window overlooking fantasyland. It was a lovely view.

We did not like the appetizers at all, but we all got the prime rib. I thought it was excellent, the best meal all week. DH thought it was good, but not great. Dessert was okay. We all got the choc. mousse cake. I normally love choc. mousse but this wasn't my favorite.

Service was pretty good. We had no problems or complaints. Note that the characters do not do meet and greets. They briefly visit your table and wave hello. DH asked one of the mice for an autograph and she was not allowed to.

The meal took just over an hour.

Just as a note, I planned this for our very last dinner at WDW and it was magical to be inside that castle for a special dinner on the last day. This might be something to think about.

Here are some pics I took at CRT:

My DH and I just returned from two wonderful weeks at DW. We celebrated our 25th anniversary and had dinner at CRT. We were the last seating of the day (7:40 pm) and Wishes was at 8 pm. Just a couple things: we didn't get seated until nearly 8 pm. We got the best table in the place...center, looking at the Carousel and watching the fireworks from there was magical. I was nearly in tears during the fireworks. Food and service were both really good. The only part we didn't like was that they gave all the "princesses and princes" either wands or swords before dinner and we had some very ill-mannered children near us...wacking the parents on the head, laying on the floor, screaming, etc. We did our best to ignore them and just concentrate on our dinner and each other. We were only one of two couples there without children. were some well-behaved children, but they weren't sitting anywhere near us. They should consider handing out the swords and wands after dinner on the way out.

So, you were able to see the fireworks from inside the castle? I have an ADR about 1 & 1/2 hours before Wishes and I was considering changing my ADR for earlier so that we can watch Wishes from outside.

Which would be better? To keep my ADR and view the fireworks from inside or to change my ADR and view Wishes from outside.

Thanks,

As much I love the whole "ambiance" and nostalgia of Cinderella Castle, I don't like the fact it's 2 Dinner Credits from your dining plan, and if it's just two people trying to enjoy dinner, it's very difficult with the small, crazy children sword fighting.
