We're on the Dining plan and am wondering which one would be a better choice? I haven't experienced the new dinner at CRT. Two parents, a 14yr DS and two DD's 7 & 9. I know the girls would love Cindy and the castle but I'm hestiating because the character dinner at LTT would be great and then we could also do another dinner at O'hana's perhaps. Which do you all think would be the way to go? What's the general opinion of the new CRT dinner?

Thank you!

I don't know anything about CRT, except that ADR's for it seem extremely difficult to come by. That's not the case with LTT, where we've never had a problem getting one. Now, LTT has some strange seating times, but the food is awesome. The traditional characters come out at around serving time. I'm all about making things easy and uncomplicated, which LTT is. Yet, it's also a very enjoyable experience.

Since you're on the Dining Plan, the dinner @ CRT will require 2 TS credits. LTT is 1 credit.

We enjoy LTT and make a point of eating here every trip. Food is severed family style - all you can eat. Price includes dessert too! Character interation is great!

I knew about the 2 credit thing but am not sure if it's worth using two when we could go to LTT and Ohana's. I would hate to be disappointed with CRT when I know LTT and Ohana's are good so good! The little girls would love to eat in the castle, though.

We did CRT in December....I was underwhelmed. We also did Liberty tree...I'd do that again.

The kids weren't thrilled with the food at the Castle. It was purely the atmosphere that was supposed to be "the thing." The girls sat there and criticized the casting of the princesses--complexion color being wrong for whichever one, etc. It wasn't "bad." It just wasn't excellent. The princesses really didn't spend any time with the girls. It was "sign book, take picture, next table."

In contrast, the characters at LTT "played" with the girls. DD commented that Pluto made her not miss her dog at home--he promptly kissed her and did the leg thing. She asked CHip whether Dale had shared the nuts she sent for them....and he proceeded to fight with Dale over the nuts. In short, they had a great time. The food and service were great too.

CRT USED to be our favorite dinner in WDW. We went every trip, at least once.

After our last experience, we will NOT be going back!

It was BAD BAD BAD!

Not worth the money AT ALL!

And I could not see using 2 TS credits for it either.

This is the thread I posted about our experience:

LTT however, is ALWAYS good food & fun character interactions (for young & old). It is a good choice!
