CRT cancellations and best place for a portrait

Greetings!
I just cancelled two CRT reservations - one on 11/29, and one on 12/1, both for a party of seven. We were so blessed to get reservations each time we called, and we are still narrowing the date we want to go, so I will have two more to cancel some time in the future. This is our first trip, and I am soooo exciited and I LOVE this board!!
You have all been so helpful in planning this trip! Could you please tell me a beautiful place to take a Christmas family portrait? My parents are coming with us (their first trip also!), my three daughters, my husband and myself would be in the picture, and we could do either casual or dressy. Thanks so much!!

I'm guessing you will be there while the christmas decorations. We got pictures in the BC lobby. They had a really pretty tree and decorations. I have heard GF has a great tree in their lobby too. What time is your Cindy ressies? We had 805am ressies and we got to enter the park before it opened. We had our picture done in front of the castle with no one around. They have their picture people walking around while the people with early PSs are coming in.

Four years ago, there was a decorated sleigh as we approached the castle on Main Street (look to your left somewhere before you get to the Walt Disney statue) with Happy Holidays painted on it. Our family piled in a took a picture cute enough to send in our Christmas cards. Just grab a cast member to take it for you.

Thanks for the recommendations - I can't wait to see the GF up close, I've heard it's so beautiful! Are you by any chance familiar with a photographer? My children are going to grow up wondering what I look like - I'm always the one behind the camera!

That's a great idea about the CM- I hadn't considered that a possibility. I plan on having my Christmas cards all filled out and envelopes addressed, so all I have to do is slip a photo inside. Thanks!

I know you can hire a photographer at WDW. Not sure of the cost or the specifics, but I am sure someone here knows or just call yourself. I always mean to arrange this but always forget

I know the feeling! ME TOO!

CMs are always great about taking pictures for us. Just make sure you have them take a few, so you'll get at least one shot where everyone is looking, all heads are in the frame, no one is picking their nose or putting rabbit ears on siblings, etc. etc. etc.
