CRT - Can someone in our party sit but not order?

Hi. We want to make reservations for CRT but my mother has stomach complications and has to be very careful about what she eats. I know Disney will accommodate special diet requests but my Mom said she would prefer to eat at a later time and wants to go just to be a part of things.

So my question is, can she come and sit but not be charged for food? I know this is not possible at a buffet restaurant but I didn't think that applied here. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

No. CRT is a prix fixe and prepaid experience. All persons in the party will be charged, just like a buffet.

If they let people sit and not order, it would quickly create chaos as people booked parties of 4, ordered 1 meal, but got the access to castle+princesses.

Thank you for the replies. I'd hate for her to be left out so we'll probably change to a restaurant that can accommodate our special request. Would any regular table service restaurant work?

It's a pre-paid meal, so you would have to pay for each person on the reservation. And if she will be sitting with you, she needs to be on the reservation. Sorry

Yes. She can join you at any restaurant other than: Buffets, All You Care to Eat, Pre-Paid dinner shows and other pre paid special events.

Everyone three years and older will be charged at buffets, all you care to eat family style restaurants (e.g. Garden Grill, 'Ohana), the three dinner shows (Hoop De Doo, Spirit of Aloha Luau, Mickey's Backyard Barbecue), fixed price venues (e.g. CRT, Akershus), Dinner Packages (e.g. Fantasmic!, Candlelight, Jungle Book), dessert parties, special events (e.g. Dine with an Imagineer or Animal Specialist, Club Villain, F & W events).
