DD will be 2.5 in May, so we're thinking of trying for one of the princess breakfasts. How would you rate Cinderella's Royal Table breakfast and the Akershus princess breakfast on food, atmosphere, service, and character interaction? If you've been to both, which did you like better and why? Thank you!

We did CRT for dinner, so I'm not sure how it is for b'fast. We also did the Princess breakfast which we liked so much we're going to do it again on our next trip. There were 5 princesses at the breakfast - Belle in her yellow dress when we walked in (photographer was there to take pictures), and then walking around were Mulan, Snow White, Aurora and Cinderella. They each stopped at every table to talk to the kids and take pictures. :cutie:

Hopefully someone will have info on the CRT breakfast for you! Enjoy your trip!

We have done both for dinner - the CRT is just cool, but the princess to kiddo ratio is much better at Akershus. And they seem less rushed in general. The princesses have always lingered at Akershus where they seem to take off quickly at CRT. We also liked 1900 Park Fare for Cinderella. The dinner they had over there was great. Not sure if they still have it. Its been a few years.

You cannot beat the atmosphere at the Castle and it would be my first choice. That said, Askerhus has a better character interaction in my opinion and the times we've been there Mulan has made an appearance (who we, at least, rarely get to see).

Both are pretty much equivalent in terms of breakfast fare. Enjoy!

Having done both several times, myself and my girls much prefer Akershus breakfast.

The only reason the Castle is better at all is the atmosphere/location. That's it, IMHO. Oh and maybe that for that rediculously high price you get the photo package for 'free'. Wow.

The Akershus breakfast's food is better, IMHO. (lunch and dinner, I do think CRT's food is better but we'd still go to Akershus!)

The Akershus breakfast is cheaper.
CRT is pre-paid or two Table service credits.

The Akershus breakfast, IMHO, has more princesses and you can see either Belle in her yellow gown as the greeter, and sometimes Ariel with legs, but she is usually scheduled for lunch and dinner. Sometimes even Cinderella is there. We got to see Cinderella there once. We've also seen Ariel, Sleeping Beauty, Snow White, Jasmine and Mulan. Sometimes also Alice and Mary Poppins.

At CRT, we've seen Cinderella, Belle, Snow White, Prince Charming, Fairy Godmother and sometimes Sleeping Beauty. Once a few years ago we saw Alice and another time Mary Poppins.

We did the Princess Breakfast in Norway with 3 and 10 year old DNieces. It was amazing, the 3 year old was in her glory because her fav Ariel ws there (pure luck, thanks Disney magic/pixie dust!)

The food was very good and there was an assortment of foods on the buffet table as well as the breakfast platter.

I would do this one again in a heartbeat.

I think the atmosphere, food and character interaction is wonderful in both locations. Disney really knows what they're doing. Unless your daughter is a total Cinderella nut, I'd pick Akerhaus. She isn't going to remember this trip at all. Even is she does, she wouldn't distinguish between the castle and the building in Akerhaus in her memory. CRT costs twice as much as Akerhaus and everything is the same except location. If you do choose CRT, then it would be for you guys. There's nothing wrong with that, I choose things for me all the time. :)

Save the castle as something to do for the first time when she's really old enough to appreciate the magnitude of the experience. Make it something she'll remember forever... when she's old enough to really remember it!

We have done both ...and this is my summary

Food - Preferred CRT for food quality & choice and the service was quicker/better/food hotter

Location - sorry, you just can't beat the magic of the castle !

Interaction - both very good. Norway better for general floor interaction but you rarely meet Cinderella there, unlike CRT so another winning vote for CRT.

Value For Money - We ended up buying the photo package at PSB (who can resist if you have a little DD ?) and that meant the price was almost exactly the same for 2A/2C as CRT.
At CRT we had some nice little freebie souvenirs (including some lovely twinkling fridge magnets) - no such freebies at PSB.
Tips are included at CRT, but not at PSB.
Overall ..if you think you are likely to be unable to resist the photo package then CRT wins hands down.

Added Bonus- If you get a very early ADR for CRT (ie. well before pre -park opening) then you can get some fantastic shots of a near empty Main Street and The Castle with only you in the shot !

:)

Just an fyi...although Cinderella is guaranteed at CRT, she can sometimes be seen at PSB. We saw her there twice. :goodvibes

Another vote for PSB. The characters spend more time with you and the food is better!!

:cheer2:

I'd agree with Mom2Evie. Save CRT for when she is older. Its packed. Its loud. Its going to be more of a thrill when she is 4 or 5 or 6.

I also loved the Cinderella dinner I had at the Grand Floridian which is not in usual place right now but in the casual Cafe. It was very relaxed and The Royal Couple moved around the floor often enough for us to see them 2 times in one meal and we weren't trying to be slow. They were most gracious. LoL. I really recommend that for the food too. The Queen Mother raved about the prime rib.

P.S. We also saw Cindy at Akershus which I prefer over CRT.

Wow, I must have been grouchy when we went to Akershus. We've done the CRT breakfast twice and breakfast and dinner each once at Akershus. Both times at Akershus I felt like we were waiting longer for the characters and was afraid we were going to be skipped by someone (in fact, the first time we did have to mention that one of the characters somehow seemed to bypass us to a waiter or handler of some sort). Maybe we just had bad luck. I would say that I would take either that I could get, but would personally prefer the castle.

We did the breakfast at Cinderellas castle. it was fun, dd was only 18 months. This next trip we have lunch booked at both the castle and at Epcot. I hope there is no big difference in lunch. My daughter will be 3.5. She is crazy about the princesses and the castle. No way on first day we could not eat in the castle with Cinderella. She won't remember, but I will!!

When did you go that you saw Ariel and Belle in her yellow dress? My dd7 would absolutely die to see Ariel at a dinner. We saw her in MK and have done the Akershus breakfast and saw many nice princesses but, she still talks about wanting to have a dinner with Ariel. We have also never seen Belle in her yellow dress.

I've also never seen Belle in a Yellow ballgown - not at CRT or Akershus. Only at the show at Disney's Hollywood Studios or whatever its called now. Poor thing, she always looks so frumpy in that chambermaid-like blue dress.

The official schedule is that Belle in her yellow gown greets guests at the entrance at breakfast (and for a photo package that you can later buy) and Ariel is scheduled for lunch and dinner at the entrance for the photo package BUT they can switch things around a bit but that is the main schedule. For example, some have seen Belle at dinner.

We saw Ariel at lunch twice and Belle at breakfast once.

We too have done both, here's my take:
CRT - you CANNOT recreate the magic of being in Cinderella's House as my DD6 saw it. She was shaking in her shoes. I agree with above posts, wait till she's older.

Food and such same at both places...you're not paying for the food.

Norway - we did this when my DDs were 8 and 10 or so, maybe 4 or 5 years ago when it first opened. At that time it was the only place to see Aurora - my DD's fav. It was great!! They would do a little opening ceremony (if you got there before official opening). The first time we went they did this little reading of a proclamation and everyone gathered around the doors. Then "ta da" the doors of the castle opened and there was Princess Aurora!! I thought my DD would faint!!. She greeted everyone and helped get the initial seating in place. Calling to the table The Royal ---- Family! I thought character interaction was much better and much more relaxed. We too have seen Ariel 2x and Belle in her yellow dress.

Either way your DD will have magical fun!

princess: bkft...a few years ago, we were down before christmas...
it was cold & a very nice fella asked if our daughter like to helped
open the restaurant...our daughter was delighted...

...notice ,she had no problem treating her older brothers like the

paparazzi, and they played along....

belle in "yellow"...that reminded me of the young lady playing belle
on our cruise,2002 ~ i didn't realized it was the same person we
had met in blue versus yellow..until she whispered that to [ok-
i don't pay alot attention soemtimes-:rolleyes1 ]....she was the nicest
person they could ever chosen...:thumbsup2

my guess, if one was trying to meet up with belle & her yellow dress,
is to call the day before...character connection?

good luck~:flower3:
